I was an MP and spent time on our SRT. Watching my fellow MP’s shoot was often difficult. We also ran training for several line units on post, usually the officers and SNCO’s who needed to a 9mm qual. Watching a bunch of artillery officers & SNOC’s, most of whom had tabs and a couple with scrolls, made me feel much better about the inadequacy of the MP’s in my unit.

AA school in 2000. As a pure genius I decided to buy brand new Jungle Boots and wear them for the first 3 mile ruck - without having ever stepped a foot in them. Proceed my “Air Assault” slog at Mile 0, after 2 minutes in I realize the leather heels - not broken in - are as good as razor blades. Both of my heels are shaved down and pouring blood into my boots. On Day 2 of AA school. Needless to say, Moleskin was my best friend for the next couple weeks

Woke up covered in a rash, balls to butt...for 3 weeks. I had to walk around like I had something up my... but the best part, I had my GF pour rubbing alcohol on it. Very cool and pleasant one second to feeling like someone had a welding torch on it. Rinse and repeat, LOL.

This dude, and Cody Alford are my 2 favs so far lol! I bet “shrek” was a hoot to serve and fight with 😆🤦🏼‍♂️. I picture him as the guy laughing and cuttin up during firefights, but he could clear a fallujah street in 03 by himself if he was in a pinch😆😆😆

Dateline: Tonopah, Nevada 1976 Our physical education teacher in high school had us doing exercises outlawed but U.S. Army. Coach Braden. One time I took a pivot in bare feet on the basketball court, on my way to the lockers I took my shoes and socks off before leaving the court, grabbing a stray ball, turned for the shot, ripping all the skin off the ball of my right foot. (In case you’re wondering no I didn’t make the shot) For first aid , coach put Cramer red hot on it, and put the flap back over it. Well, he realized his mistake when I started complaining about how hot it was. He says “oh that’s Cramer red hot”
