I absolutely LOVE your new fly fishing videos! Thanks for showing us how you tie the flys to look exactly like the bugs that the fish are currently feeding on. It's so educational.

That river used to be chalked-full of monster fish until the otters posted up beneath the hatchery. It has been a miracle to catch a fish ever since. Nice haul Shawn!

I tied flys for many years. The stone fly nymph is my all time fav for stony, moving water. I make one with different colours of dubbing, with hackle legs and turkey quill for the wing case that I glue to give it that shiny effect. For faster water I make one the same, but use a rubber band for the segmented section. The band make the appearance of a segmented tail extremely well, and the weight of it really helps get it down. It’s the best wet fly I’ve ever made.

First of all Shawn welcome back! I watched a lot of your bushcraft stuff and loved it immensely. I was disappointed when you went with the"'Mouse trap thing". I get it though, you need to feed your family. Please keep your other videos going, including the garden, Flint knapping and most importantly your wife making delicious recipes. ( I think she cooked sourdough bread) Anyway fantastic channel, I'm excited your back. God speed.
