Fun fact, my father was stationed in Central Virginia with Amerie's father, her family attended the same church as my stepmother, my little brothers went to school with Amerie, and I had a small fling with her big sister back in the '90s. By the way her father's Black and her mother's Korean, and they were stationed at Fort Lee in Virginia, although when Amerie made it in music she would typically claim she was from the DC area, she did not grow up near DC.

I was a teen when this song came out. It made you fall in love with love and it was just all that. They don't make music like this anymore. The best summer hit ever. I remember getting dressed up, going to hang out with friends and rushing home to make it back in time for 106 and Park, the good old days. One Thing & Talking to Me are also good hits Amerie made.
