The real story was, Rich Harrison did 1 Thing and Get Right around the same time, he was gonna give one to JLO and one to Amerie, but bc he was Amerie's main producer at the time, Amerie got the first pick. Honestly both should have gone to Amerie, JLO sounded a mess on Get Right, she didn't have the vocal swagger to pull the go-go sound off.
