For my transfer paper, I guess It's graphit paper, it never erase. So, It is important to adjust the pencil pressure for light trace lines.

Oh.. Covering with transfer paper, I just traced the photo I've had a hard time doing a portrait. Well, I did it with too much pressure. so, it turned out kind of Croki drawing. ; ) Your method is really simple and nice. I got the line perfectly in a short time. It's amazing. So I can concentrate the water coloring. Hue... it is really not easy to draw the lines of Human face. Too much consuming time. I will do it again with a little pencil pressure. Thanks a lot!

Love this video. Didn't know about using Graphite paper to trace your sketch to the watercolor paper. Will have to try that. Have you ever used a projector to enlarge a sketch and make a larger version of your drawing? That would be a cool video.

Margaret, I don't really do people's faces well, but I find babies simple. They don't have all the lines and shading as much as when people get older. I did a few just the head, surrounded by blankets ( like first baby pictures) and was surprised at how doable it was. You should try. You might surprise yourself! 🤗
