From my understanding, I think Dr. Umar is talking about the practices of the Muslims, not the religion. As a Muslim from a Muslim country, most Muslims think of black people as inferior to them, which is against the teachings of the religion. Therefore, if these Muslims think that way, then as a reaction, Dr. Umar is rejecting them (Arabs) and not the religion and instead focusing on black issues as it matters to black people more than religion based on his pov, which makes sense because you cannot cooperate and submit your mind to someone who does not have respect for you.

@sonofadam99 the learning curve was so intimidating for me that I wasn't praying at all doing it that way helped develop a the habit of praying and got me praying consistently 5 times a day and correctly all I can say is that it worked for me

@sonofadam99 after doing some research I've learned that it is permissable for NEW Muslims to pray the Salah in their language of origin where did you hear that this is not permissable?

Islam was a generosity from Allah subhanna wa t’ala for his slaves to show his mercy and how much he is mercy for to be able to give them something that they can follow in order to meet him one day and be with him in the paradise, it is not about black or white. It’s not has no color. The only color of Islam is righteousness and that’s it.

He did not seek knowledge. Islam is knowledge, without knowledge one cannot be a moslem.

What Dr Umar doesn’t realize are a few things. Islam is not a black religion, it’s not an Arab religion, it’s the religion for all mankind ( he must have never listen to or hung around to read the Prophet (SAW) last message. Second other prophets taught their people to pray( some which used in the Christian religion). The Prophet Dawud wrote the 23rd Psalms. The Prophet Isa (RA) son of Miriam(RA) taught his disciples to pray when they asked him. So why would anyone have a problem with the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), showing Muslims how to do a proper prayer that would be acceptable to Allah (SWT).

In the Quran, it says the prophets said speak the language of your ppl! What is the language, Arabic! Where not Arab 🤔

I didn't hear Dr Umar mention African spirituality,what is that! Who is he calling to ? If it is not to ALLAH it is shirk,calling on other then ALLAH,this man will lead you to the hell fire!!

@@GhettoDetective It teaches you to wear a thobe? No, you don’t have to. Your clothing has to be according to Islamic standards. You and Umar (Arab name) don’t know what you’re talking about. Why do many African Americans have Arab names? Jamal, Khalil/Khaleel, Hakeem, etc? You missed the irony.

i don't think he's ignorant, because these things he can ask about if he wants to know, he can read and ask people of knowledge about worshiping and other things. these things can be easily explained, but he clearly didn't even bother
@SoloVentureExplorer4 ай бұрын
He is ignorant since he spoke without knowledge. Indeed, he could have asked the people of knowledge if he doesn't know. And it's so sad because the Qur'an mentions this in Surah an-Nahl, ayah 43.
@kalijasin4 ай бұрын
@@SoloVentureExplorer Looks like you took that out of context. Here’s the entire text of an-nahl 43 in English. “We did not send ˹messengers˺ before you ˹O Prophet˺ except mere men inspired by Us. If you ˹polytheists˺ do not know ˹this already˺, then ask those who have knowledge ˹of the Scriptures˺.”

What language does his African spirituality speak? Which of the African spirituality does he follow? All of them speak different languages, and none of them speak English. How does he worship if they don’t understand English. If his concerns are of language and living a certain lifestyle. It is obvious he is not English because we know what the English looks like.

Wa alaikum salaam wa rahmahtullahi wa barakatu. Excellent response my brother. How is he so ignorant that he don’t realize that the Quran had to be revealed in some nations language to someone of that nation. Is he so stuck on blackness that he ignores that we blacks had all varieties of shirk, and cannibalism in many African cultures? He’s so in love with blackness that he pretends not to know that the reason why African empires, and the African continent as a whole crumbled because of all of the shirk and self worship that was practiced. Subhan’Allah may Allah guid him insha’Allah.
