In summary, Shaykh Noorud Deen made a video about Abu Yazid al Bistami (rahimahullah) wherein he said that Abu Yazid insulted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ (accusing him of kufr). The statement discussed was “my banner is greater than the banner of Muhammad”. In response to this video, the young 17 year old boy Hassan read the full passage from the source tadhkiratul awliya and gave the full citation. Whilst Hassan was clearly quoting the text, Shaykh Noorud Deen misunderstood Hassan to be saying that “Allah spoke through Abu Yazid”, which was a quote from the text and Hassan was NOT defending the statement. Rather, he explained the reason this statement was made, in a spiritual state of awe (الدهشة), for which he would not be accountable as Abu Yazid HIMSELF then said it was kufr, asking to be killed if he repeated it again, which shows he does not believe it. Hassan explained the full context in his video which Shaykh Noorud Deen omitted. In the meeting, Shaykh Asrar brought forwards the urdu text used as the original source, which is a translation of the farsi text; however, Shaykh Noorud Deen clearly said he does not care. He is not interested in correcting his knowledge or understanding of the situation. Rather, from this video, it can be seen that he wants to attack the 17 year old boy for reading the full citation that he missed out. He needs to apologise and humbly accept this mistake. Abu Yazid is a great wali (saint) of Allah and Allah promises to wage war against those who attack them, let alone accuse them of kufr

Either Nooruddin is unaware of what's quoted in original text and reading it would have exposed his ignorance. 2. The entire thing was simply a misunderstanding, SND called the boy kufr however once the explanation was given that the boy was simply reading from a text, that should have been accepted by SND, what was upsetting from an Islamic standpoint is even after the clarification SND was still implying the young boy was lying. This was an easy fix, show respect and understanding and it could have been solved quickly. Everyone in that room defends the honour of the prophet pbuh, moral of this debate don’t throw the word kufr about so loosely and once corrected don’t let your ego get the better of you. Regardless of who is right or wrong in this debate, I have a great deal of respect for both Shaykh Asrar Rashid and Shaykh Noor-uddin Rashid, two highly respected scholars in the UK who have positively impacted the lives of many and earned the respect of our community. That being said, the bullying and gang-like tactics used against Shaykh Noor-uddin in this debate were disgraceful, especially considering his position and the honour he deserves as a scholar of our religion. Some of the young students involved clearly lacked basic adab. Everyone in this video is capable of making mistakes, but the way Shaykh Noor-uddin was treated was completely unacceptable. What stood out most was the undeniable love and loyalty Shaykh Noor-uddin Rashid has for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, which was clear throughout the entire discussion. His sincerity and devotion to defending the honor of the Prophet ﷺ, no matter the pressure, is something we should all learn from.

The Deos’ elders have heinous statements against Sayyidina Rasulullah ﷺ, and some later ones defend these. The “statements of Barelvis” which are henious, aren’t even from Barelvis, but of earlier Sufis in books and are most likely fabricated etc. There rlly should be a balance from him in trying to get both groups to denounce statements. But for some reason, Shaykh Nooruddeen always comes after Barelvis. Idk if he has trauma w Barelvis, but it’s always as if he tries v hard to detach from them and complain abt them to make others happy. Idk if he does this to please certain ppl, and it comes across as somewhat an inferiority complex, and even coming after Hadra (which is strange given he has Syrian teachers) as if trying to water down Sunnis to groups like Salafis to make it seem more palatable. This is coming from someone who watches and respects both of these Ulama. It was also disappointing to see Shaykh Nooruddeen’s dismissiveness towards Shaykh Mubeen when showing fatawa of early Barelvis denouncing kufri statements. I'm a huge supporter of you Shaykh but you handled this completely wrong. This is the way the Wahabis would gang up on the sunnis back in the day. This reminded me of that. @@MotorWorld-v8y i have sat in mamy, and unfortunately what iv seen from them is they take what suits them and leave what doesnt suit them from the salaf ( please dont ask for examples otherwise it will turn into a long thread ), this is my experience with them unfortunately, the moderate salafis and the extreme ones, the " following the 3 generations" sounds nice but iv found many times that when sometimes the salafs opinions go against even the likes of Albaani etc, they will reject the salaf and take Albani, using the excuse that albani is taking from the salaf so hes correct..... In brief for those who don't know ,a scholar had said something wrong in the state of unconscious (in such a situation any sin done is not counted according to Hadith) This scolar was then told what he said and this scholar had then said that he was unaware of this and that next time he says such a thing that he himself should executed. nooruddin quoted part of this scholars words and not the full which would explain the context of the situation and said that this was wrong(which is fine) The younger brother then states the ENTIRE passage so that he is informed as he didnt come accross the rest of the passage and this would put things into context of the actual situation. (in this brother Hassan didnt agree with the statement as he said he belives it to be kufr but he told the full statement so that people dont label the scholar as a blasphemer as the scholar didnt know he said this in the state of unconsciousness hence no rulling of kufr would be given. Based on hassan quoting the Entire passage - nooruddin then said by the young brother quoting this He has defended it. To which the young brother replied no he didnt, he beleives the statement to be wrong but even after clarifying, nooruddin then kept on saying because he quoted the entire passage he is somehow defending the statement and he is guilty. Nooruddin needs to be brushed up by his teachers sorry to say, even a layman can understand this.

I have huge respect for both Sheikh Asrar Rashid and Sheikh Nooruddeen Rasheed. And remember Muslims massive scholars in the past said insane things to one another but we forgive them, love them and take knowledge from them. Nooruddin seems to have good intentions as he wants to defend the Prophet - thats perfect. However, the blasphemous comment was misinterpreted, but Nooruddin persists directly from his perception that Hasan said & believed the Flag is higher, then stereotypes to lesser extent Brelvi's believe this. A lot of you people are saying deobandis this and that im from luton and noorudeen has made it very clear he's not a deobandi nor is he a braevli, he doesn't agree with both of them, he's tried to reconcile with both or try to make content of unity but that fell apart when the braelvis of luton rejected him.
