I think it would b a good ideas if the hair companies would make the folded part of the hair textured so when knotting the hair...any. hair it would make it very easy for everyone...

Hi Shay, I am also trying this hair and love love the look. The knots do slip, but I haven't lost any hair except for shedding. This hair sheds a lot.

You have to secure this hair for no shedding and slippage. the double knot method, is by far the best to use. Here's a video on a few ways. I've since updated my methods a bit and hopefully will be recording an updated video soon. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJiypIt7pql1osk

Hi Shay The hair looks very good after 3 weeks. It manages well even after separating it. For me I don't do slippage well. By the way congratulations on the shower cap even if only a few times. The hair would be worth me wearing if not for the slippage. Love ya. Peace

Slippage can be a problem with this hair, so doing the double knot securing method is a must.

This hair I separated weekly, and 2x a week in the nape. I put it in a pineapple at night, but it would be a good idea to also use a bonnet.

The hair looks good, and your dry detangle really wasn’t bad-but the knot situation. I’ve only done crochet braids 4 times, so I would be walking down the hall praying that my hair wasn’t falling out. 😂😂😂

Hey shay, does this hair bounce back with every wash? And does it tangle or get matted? And how much more do you charge for glance? Btw It looks gorgeous on you!

I didn’t wash it but once. And it did snap back after I refreshed it. It does tangle and mat in the nape. But no more than all synthetic hair does. The look of the hair and how I enjoyed it and the snap back greatly outweighed the maintenance with the hair for me. ❤️ hope this helps.

Love your review and I'm a new subbie.This was the first hair I ever did a crochet style with years ago. I absolutely loved it. I got about 6 weeks out of the style the first time. It was my go to choice until my local bss stopped carrying it. So I switched to Harlem 125 Kima Treasure Best Braid in Chic or Sassy curl patterns which is very similar in texture. It's a dual pack costs 12.00 locally[ Knoxville,TN] I use about 2 packs cut in half(4regular 24in bundles) or 4 packs for full length(8 regular bundles). But this still one of my absolute favorite brands and style. Model Model Glance Ocean Wave was also bomb. It wasn't like ocean wave by Kima it was more of a beachy curl wavy pattern.

Hi Shay & Fam! With the silky hair textures, try washing the hair first to rinse the chemicals & sheen off. The hair should come out 'soft' but not slippery which would make it easier to knot. This hair looks great on you! Happy Holidays! 💛

How do you maintain your edges?

I wash them each night when I wash my face. Then in the morning i apply moisture retention gel by cantu to sculpt them and then apply lock it hair spray and wrap them with a satin scarf for about 5 mins or so while I get ready for work. I moisturize them when I moisturize my entire head about once a week. I use almond oil, or vitamin oil, sometimes grapeseed oil. Just depends on what i feel like doing that day lol. ❤️

This looks beautiful on you Shay. Makes you look very exotic! I tried a similar texture from the same brand with unbelievable knot slippage 😣 It was installed by a professional stylist who was in a big hurry lol. Lasted about 9 days. If I try this one, I'll be sure to soak in acv first to get rid of the coating so hopefully it will knot better (after I watch your knotting video). Tfs 💕
