Think of it like this, once the wizard grants someone powers, they can’t forcefully take it away, only the champion has the ability to do so, they knew he gave the power to his father and they obviously had no problem with it or they would have tried to lock him up sooner, they only had an issue when he started moving crazy with bloodlust, not their first choice of course but their first choice lead to destruction.

I haven't seen either movie yet, but from what I read, I agree that Dwayne Johnson should have allowed himself to become part of the Shazam franchise rather than trying to separate his character from another who's had a long shared history with him. Nevertheless, they did reference Black Adam in the first Shazam, right before the wizard Shazam gave Billy his powers.

Correction: Shazam actually did mention Black Adam, in the first movie when he told him the history, he mentioned that they chose recklessly by giving the powers of Shazam to Teth-Adam. That is literally the only connection with the two characters in all three movies.

When I first saw the movie and it reached the point animated at 0:24, I was thinking: "okay, Billy can't get through the force field and Freddy lost his powers... why doesn't Billy just fly a bit to the side to be directly beneath Freddy and say 'SHAZAM' to call down the lightning so it hits Freddy?" Granted, that would have worked in the comics, but if the film used different rules it would just electrocute Freddy.

Production credits don't mean anything- there are a number of reasons a person can be given a production credit, even if they are barely involved in the movie; in this case, he was attached to a Shazam character and the success of the Shazam! movie probably affected whether a Black Adam film would be made at all, and he was only still in talks to play the role at that point, so it made sense to attach him to it for purely business reasons.

Si realmente tuviera tanta influencia como dicen, hubiera puesto a Cavill dentro de la película (en Black Adam), pero los ejecutivos no se lo permitieron, hasta que hubo un cambio de productores/ejecutivos en la transición de poder en Warner de AT & T a Discovery donde se le permitió poner a Cavill en una escena post credito, con la Amanda Waller de James Gunn, por supuesto.

I finally got around to seeing this on DVD a few days ago, and preparatory to watching, due to some of the lukewarm takes on it I was hearing, I had a beer or two first. And I gotta say, at the moment when I saw a feral unicorn skewer a cyclops while an adorable wee girl yelled out "taste the rainbow mother......" I was at beer number five and it was the funniest thing I had seen all year. I'll have to watch it again sober to see how it holds up.
