BTW, literally *ALL* bicycles have brakes. If you don't see a hand-brake in front of the handle bars, then rotate your feet in the opposite direction to access the chain-brake.

That's why it's law here in Germany to have 2 independent brakes. Even if 1 fails, there's still 1 to brake and not crash into things or causing an accident.

It's called a coaster brake and the brake is part of the rear wheel hub not the chain.

Fixed gear road bikes do not have brakes.
