She Cried When She Left (both of the she's)

She cried when she left. Summer went back home but she will be back here in a couple weeks. We are so grateful to spend time with her. She is such a great friend to our little girl. Isaiah is disappointed in our level of cool. I think we are cool parents but whatever. Abbie is making huge gains in her independence.

The often misconception with children with autism is that they don’t have emotions, this is clearly not true. It breaks my heart to see Abbie so upset and distressed, even if it does look a little different to how we get upset, she’s still expressing her emotions! Hope Abbie is okay now! ❤️

Same as so many kids that age, actually. It was hard to watch though. But good to see that Abbie comprehends virtually everything. You can see her listening, like any kid would, to what she would be doing during the two weeks.

You guys need to get a couch sponsorship. Companies should make Abbie test their couches and then you'd know what quality their products are by how long it takes to break. They really need to make comfortable, durable furniture because there are A LOT of kids on the spectrum that rock and destroy furniture quickly. Happy fathers day!! I als just wanted to say my uncle is mentally disabled he does a lot on his own now and he's in his mid 40's. I know not the exact same scenario. But he lives with a bunch of other guys who have disabilities both physical and mental. They have care takers there. It's an awesome place. Maybe Abby could have something like that later on? My grandma goes down and gets him every weekend and spends the weekends with him and he loves it!
