I’m not totally sure if you caught it? But Becca’s big peace offering was her singing “don’t you forget about me” which was the end credit song from breakfast club so it was 💯 her serenading him/ asking forgiveness/ telling him she liked him. Then he does the raised fist from the end of breakfast club/ last shot to accept the apology. Considering she added that specific song to their performance JUST for him was a pretty good gesture.

Also his whole movie theory is that the endings are the best part. That song is the ending of his favorite movie. That's why he was showing her just the ends of movies. To show her how the music can move you. That's why right before she kisses him he says "see, I told you, the endings are the best part" referring to the song she used as her grand gesture which is the ending to the movie. His raised fist like in the breakfast club was "yes, I see what you did there and of course I accept your apology"

Fun fact: Everytime Anna Kendrick sang alone, she was singing live on set. She said in an interview "something sounds off in studio, so I preferred to sing live". If you wanted to react to the second Pitch Perfect movie, it has an end credit scene, don't forget to check that out

Ester Dean who plays Cynthia Rose is a Singer, songwriter and producer. She co-wrote/wrote the song S&M by Rihanna which they sing in the pool scene. She's got a ton of hits with a lot of major R&B and rap artists, plus Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera. Anna Kendrick has a fantastic voice. I watched an interview once where she randomly started singing and it sounded just like she does here. I love this movie, except for the vomit scenes haha. My favorite scene is Beca serenading/singing her apology to Jesse/Skylar Astin at the end. (Skylar Astin is also in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, a FANTASTIC musical tv show.) Some great movie musicals: Sweeney Todd, Little Shop of Horrors, Phantom of the Opera, Dear Evan Hansen, Chicago, Prom. I remember when this came out in 2011 it hadn't garnered much media attention before it appeared in cinemas. I know many people accidently came accross at the time I was one of them as I watched it because the cast was great and it actually looked funny. After that word of mouth through the first happy accident viewing just blew it's popularity up to where the girls were asked to host the mtv movie awards. A movie that organically built a following like this first Pitch perfect is so satisfying to whitness as it happens.

Best date movie: Legally Blonde! If you want more musicals: Team Starkid here on KZbin. They're an independent musical production company and put all their musicals on YT for free. I'd suggest starting with Twisted, a parody on Alladin, or Trail to Oregon, which was inspired by the video game, since these are two of their strongest ones. Also I'm pretty sure you won't get issues with copy right even if you put the full reaction on YT.

I'm sure a lot of people will recommend HAMILTON, which I haven't seen. I personally love THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, but they wouldn't be ideal for reaction videos because you'd have to mute the entire film. Same goes for EVITA. The HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL movies are pretty fun. And a lot of Disney classics like THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, and obviously ENCANTO. Or maybe you could go really back in time and do MARY POPPINS or MY FAIR LADY. There are some really good German musicals that I guess you wouldn't understand. So all in all this is pretty tricky to recommend ;)
