I have a story... in 2008 my mom passed away unexpectedly. She died in her sleep at age 52, ideal for her maybe but not us. I was flying from Nashville TN to California where my brother still lives so we could spread our moms ashes. I was trying to hold it together and the airport was packed. I went over to an airport store to get something to maybe read to take my mind off things so I wasn’t a complete mess on the flight. A woman was standing in the entry way and asked if I was okay. (Apparently I’m not as good an actress as I thought). Anyway, I could barely squeak the words “my mom died” and she put her arms around me and gave me the best hug. She prayed in my ear softly as I tried to not ugly cry and when I looked up to thank her for her kindness... it was Shania Twain!!! That’s when it hit me that the CMAs were the night before in Nashville and that’s why the airport was so busy. I was flying to LAX so there were a lot of singers and DJs on my flight. I sat next to a radio DJ from LA and he was so super nice too. They were exactly what I needed when I needed it. ❤️

That's a wonderful story, thank you for sharing it. And I know how it feels -- I also lost a parent (my Dad) when he was only 53. In his case though, he had an aggressive type of brain cancer and it completely destroyed his body in a matter of weeks. They tried to operate, but the cancer had already taken too much of his brain. At least Mom was a nurse so he got his wish to die at home in his own bed.

Like a lot of relationships, everyone said my relationship wouldn't last. We got to know each other after a long period in hospital.(several periods actually) We were so different in almost every way. The only obvious thing we had in common was a past with many bad choices. People thought we would just drag each other down but instead we have built each other up. We always encourage each other to be better people & we hold each other accountable so we don't make the same mistakes. We've been together about 13yrs, time has flown by & we still make each other laugh every day. Life is awesome!😃😃
