My godfather died in the attacks. I remember being brought home an hour or so after school started (1st grade) and my grandma wouldn’t let me turn on the tv. I played around in the backyard for an hour or so until my mom came to my grandma’s house to get me and she turned on the tv and explained to me that my dad was okay but that some buildings fell down in NY and that Uncle David (what we called my dad’s best friend) was there so daddy had to go try and get to the city to find him. My dad was gone for 3 days in the city with his friends going to hospitals hoping for a John Doe. He was in the upper floors of south tower and he was never found, not even a personal item. There are a lot of people who disappeared that day and friends and family were able to get some closure over the years knowing what happened to them through footage and location information archives but I can’t imagine not knowing what happened to someone in all that chaos and having no closure.

I think she was having issues within herself, questioning who she was. She married out of pressure. Her marriage was not working and they had issues. She was looking to dip out for awhile. Possible she might have even had a "go" bag stashed at someone's house. She was waiting for the right moment and then 9/11 happens which was a huge coincidence in her favor. I think if 9/11 would not have happened, she would have made her way out of that marriage before kids. Just my thoughts. Here's a couple of issues with your arguments. I know you guys want to believe that she died in the attacks, trying to save people. The biggest red flag for that argument is, where are the people that she helped? The first tower didn't collapse until about an hour and 40 minutes after the initial attack. Don't you think that if she did help somebody, they would remember her? Somebody would remember being saved by this woman? I don't think you're scrutinizing the husband enough, no he probably didn't have it planned out for her to disappear on 9/11, it just happened to be a massive coincidence that he could use to cover up his crime. Their relationship was obviously not typical, and even though he plays it off that he was okay with it, I seriously doubt it. Most men would not be okay with their wives staying out late, sleeping in other beds, not knowing what they're doing the night before or what bed they're sleeping in. My guess is he was tired of it. He got rid of her the day before, and his luck would have it, he had the perfect scenario to paint, as to how she disappeared.

I want to believe she just used the events of 9/11 to escape and find her queer happy ending, but.. if she disappeared the day before how could've she known it would happen? how could've she known she could run away and disappear? that's the part that makes me lean towards foul play or she took her own life..

Hey just to push back on what Kendall said regarding non queer people in queer bars.. please don’t. We have created these safe spaces for US, the amount of straight vs. queer people in our spaces nowadays is staggering. There’s over 68,000 bars/clubs in the US. About 1% are gay/lesbian bars. Please, for the love of God, don’t come here to “not get hit on”. Unless you’re invited by a queer friend, please don’t use our safe spaces

I could be wrong and it is a speculation, in South Asian society we sometimes tell parents what they want to hear and one of the most common thing is being a mom, or having good life and family with husband. It could be possible that she said these things so that her mom wont worry about her. Im sure that her mom learned from her brother about her action towards her brothers gf. And maybe she was all along bi but she had to hide bc of social pressure bc even if people from this part of the world lived in US, they could have the same outlook as before. And she is an intelligent woman. It could also be possible that her family is not telling the truth. If she really changed her identity, i hope She's having a good life. 🙏🤞

To Josh's point, it may not have been the plan but could have been something that happened in the heat of the moment and 9/11 was a lucky break that gave him cover. I don't believe that, but it covers his point. This guy has done all of the things and her family never even suspected him.

I want to believe for her family's sake that she lost her life saving others. I don't know but I can't shake the feeling that either her husband or someone else took her life and 9/11 was absolutely a convenient hide away story. One day the truth will be found but until then, I respect her family and choose to agree that she did lose her life saving others.

This is just speculation, but what if the brother had something to do with her disappearance? They were in a fight because he supposedly walked in on Sneha and his girlfriend having sex. From their cultural background, it's very frowned upon to be homosexual and bisexual. "Honor killings" still happen in some parts of India and other parts of the world for that. The last sighting of her she bought bed sheets, stockings, and lingerie. Then the employee at Century21 shoes says she saw Sneha with another woman, possibly Indian, maybe the brother's girlfriend? Unfortunately there were no cameras there so we'll never know. The brother was also the first person who put out the story of her possibly being a victim of 9/11. Ron hired a private investigator and searched every where for her He was also at work the next day and asked neighbors to go knock on his apartment door to see if Sneha was there when he wasn't able to get into the building. If he had done it I don't see how or when he would've been able to dispose of her body without anyone seeing something and her never being found to this day. There are no reports on what the brother was doing the night of the 10th or before the attacks on the 11th. It's just a lot more plausible that the brother and/or his girlfriend had something to do with her disappearance than her husband being involved.
@ciaranmurray57248 ай бұрын
It's actually quite straightforward... She stayed out all night and got home a few minutes before the first plane hit.( CCTV of a woman that could be her in her building ) She heard what was going on outside and went to help ( She was a Dr after all ) And unfortunately for her she was killed when the buildings collapsed.
@jamieelizondo56038 ай бұрын
it's unconfirmed if that had been her in the apartment video footage. The woman in the video didn't have shopping bags, so what happened with the bags she had? If she had stayed out late the night before who did she stay with and where? What did she do after Century21? There were no other transactions on her credit cards to show she went to a bar or any other place that day. With how much publicity this case got at the time why is it that no one has come forward saying she was with them that night? There isn't any proof beyond grainy video footage of woman who may not even be Sneha at the apartment elevator, to show she was even alive on 9/11.Still a possibility she died when the towers collapsed but I wouldn't call it straightforward. @@ciaranmurray5724

I grew up in FiDi and was 4 years old, in TriBeCa, at my first day of pre-k during the attacks. We had almost no choice but to pass the towers on our way home. I’ll spare you the first memories of my life that are now forever burned into my brain. I’ve never heard this story before, but I think I had family friends that lived in the same building as her that you had mentioned. I’m curious if it’s been coaberated that her boyfriend went back to the apartment on 9/12 because pretty much all of FiDi and downtown manhattan, including the building I lived in that was a few blocks from Battery Park, was evacuated and barred off from civilians. Maybe he had an in since he’s a first responder, but I can’t imagine them letting anyone into any buildings in that area unless someone was in known immediate danger. My family was evacuated for 6 months and we weren’t allowed to get any of our things. It wasn’t until we returned home that FEMA offered any kind of assistance either. Just totally weird to hear about this story though and how the last place she was seen was at that Century 21. That department store was pretty much exclusively where I got clothes, shoes, school supplies, and home goods as a kid. By the way, not to pull your leg, but it’s Battery Park City, not Battery City Park 😂

I’ve followed this case for years and her family is quite exhausting. Allegedly Sneha was having alcohol issues… They completely and utterly deny that. Supposedly she was a lesbian… They completely and utterly deny that. Her employer claims she was on the receiving end of many disciplinary actions… according to the family “nope, never happened“! Their refusal to acknowledge that this woman may have had one single flaw is infuriating. Ron didn’t even know where she slept half of the time but they’re all so confident About what she was “probably “doing on 9/11? Perhaps the case could have been solved if they were willing to be honest. And their relentless effort to make sure she was put in the category as a 9/11 victim pisses me off. I believe she died on the 10th. There is zero record of her being alive on the 11th. And with zero record of her being alive on the 11th, her family is 1000% convinced that she risked her life running into the towers to save people??? The ego is insane.
@iamsherlocked3455 ай бұрын
I think that’s it’s easier to deny than acknowledge she was struggling. Clearly Sneha was struggling and had something happening. We will probably never know what really happened to her.

Is it possible that she took the opportunity of the chaos and panic going on to disappear ? I'm with Jenelle on this 100% at 52:09. I think there is a decent possibility here that she saw the attacks, somehow wasn't right there, and took the opportunity. Many crimes that are committed are because of opportunity. Same idea.... the opportunity to present itself was there and she took it. Between her substance abuse issues, marital issues, job problems, court problems, and probably facing judgement from her religious friends and family about her sexuality.... she may have decided a fresh clean slate would be the best way out. I'm 70/30 on this... probably terror attack victim. But the possibility she left without a trace using the opportunity of the circumstances is very real too.

I was in 8th grade science class and saw it all unfold outside the classroom window with my classmates. Teacher had kids arguing about if the towers would collapse. We were stuck in the basement of the school for hours all trying to get picked up by parents. My dad worked close to the towers at the time and my aunt had to walk across the bridges to get home to our family because the roads and bridges were at a standstill. We lived by JFK and we had very little traffic that year. I remember going from being a little kid to being horrified that the world no longer felt safe. Still remember when the troops deployed in the following years and asking our global history teacher if we’d be going to war. What’s jarring is that the world NEVER felt safe after that day and never will be the same again.

I was a 6th grader who had just barely turned 11. My school told the 6-8 graders shortly after it happened, but not the K-5 kids. I was too young for my principal’s discussion of it to really sink in. I lived in base housing at the Naval War College at the time, which was closed for precaution the rest of the week. Having our Dads home when we came home from school was what helped us military kids in the base neighborhood really realize that something serious happened (we were all so used to our Dads being deployed or not home from the ship until dinner time if the ship was on base).

Another possibility is that the person she was with that night also died on 9/11 so the only witness is gone, too. Maybe after a night together she just wanted to go home quickly to change or whatever and planned to meet that friend again in WTC afterwards, and when the chaos started she naturally immediately went there to look for her friend.
