From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your sincere and truly REAL video yesterday. I immediately subscribed and hit the bell for alerts to your channel. The vlog yesterday was incredibly well done. Cullen and Katie, you addressed issues that occur in every family. You were wonderfully frank and honest in discussing your challenges. As a mom of five kids, I suffered severe post partum depression after the birth of my first child. My husband was crucial to my recovery and I am so thankful that he helped me during the recovery time frame. Later, he suffered from depression and I was there for him. I cannot express to you how similar our situation was to yours. Living a very materially and spiritually blessed life and yet this beast called depression hit us. It took a toll on our marriage and life but we, too, are Christians, Latter-day Saints, and believe in our commitment to our marriage. I am happy to say we look forward to celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary this July! You are such a wonderful couple and family. You are beautiful on the inside and outside and truly have contributed to people’s welfare by sharing your story. I’ll pray for your continued healing and success in your marriage and in raising your beautiful children, Gaines and Brooks. Once again, thank you for showing a glimpse of real life in your vlog!

Loved seeing y'all happy and laughing again! Real life is hard and real families fight and go through hard times. Don't feel like you owe anybody anything. I'd rather see real people that I can relate to instead of those ridiculously perfect KZbin families that only show their highlight reels. Your honesty is refreshing. This was a great vlog of the whole family together! Nothing looked "forced", everyone looked and acted like they were genuinely having a good time (maybe not Brooks in EVERY scene, but he's almost 2, lol, he's cute as a button no matter what kind of mood he is in). I know yall are still working on things..but its like since Cullen has opened up about it he has a little bit of that weight off his shoulders. Katie you are so strong. Ive been with my husband for 11 years. Since we were 15 and 17. I know how hard it can be to see your spouse struggling and wanting to help but not knowing how..its even harder when your a mental health specialist (im a psychology major). Cullen you are beong strong by being open and honest that there is a problem that needs to be dealt with. Yall look so happy at the end of the vlog. And Cullen its nice to see your real smile again. My grandma always told me "It takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile..plus frowning gives you wrinkles" Yall are still in my thoughts and prayers.

One thing I love about Gaines is that she is sure of herself. When Mommy asks for an opinion, as in what to buy or what looks better, Gaines appears to pause and then responds without wavering. You are so not alone, like Katie I had postpartum depression. After that I never thought about it much. Then it was like what is wrong with me, I should be happy, but I wasn’t,and didn’t know why? Through medicine and therapy and a very patient husband, it’s 26 yrs later and we have our moments but it is so much better. So hang in there you two, God , Cullen and Katie, joined together, your union was sealed by God, no man, event , problems can change that. He never promised all the days would be easy, but He did promise He’d give you grace to make it through. BTW Cullen how many times did you get into the bathtub via the potty? Crazy!!!
