For those wondering how she got in. The door was still opened to the inside as this was a new install. As soon as you close the door the first time, clips will lock in place and you can only open the door to the outside.

Years ago, when I was overweight, my landlord installed a new shower, a very small shower. Probably the smallest one I've ever seen. I was bent over, scrubbing my feet and one of my long fingernails slipped into one of the drain slots. I was bent over with my nail stuck and I couldn't get it out! Being a big person,, I barely had room. No one was home and hubby wasn't due home for another 6 hours. I couldn't get to a phone or clothes. Glass door so I couldn't cover up with the shower curtain. After trying to break my nail, soap it out, I had to start banging real loud on the floor and started screaming. Thank goodness my landlord's wife was home, thank goodness it just wasn't him, she heard me and came in, she threw me a towel, tried to get it out, she couldn't either so she got nail clippers and cut my nail. I don't think I've ever been so embarrassed!

Omg, thank you for this, I didn't know that this problem exist in hotel shower. Lesson learned. Do not locked the shower main door, I mean the front door, then always put the towel / bathrobe on the top of the shower glass door and insert on the side door before closing, always bring your cellphone inside, put it on the counter top besides the sink. No it's even simpler than that.. the seal is what stops the door... The seal is also loose and flexible.. push too hard and the seal pops "through" and now you either give it a push or get stuck cause ur to dumb

To everyone asking 'how'd she get in?': First, note that they said 'brand new hotel'. Second, doors are some of the most notoriously poorly designed things. Look up 'norman door'. Or reflect on the many times you pushed when you should have pulled (hint: it wasn't your fault; the designer wanted the door to look nice, not be functional). The seal and position of this door is all wrong and she's likely the first to use it. Why not have the door at the back of the shower away from the toilet? Or have a sliding door? As a designer, I'm just...ughhh.
