She-Hulk was breaking the fourth wall before Deadpool existed. She wasn't the first Marvel character to do that, but I think she was the first to do it regularly. She has an easier time controlling the transformations because she doesn't have Dissociative Identity Disorder. Bruce hasn't been formally diagnosed yet (and won't be until a psychiatrist named Doc Samson worked with him), but he has the same condition as Moon Knight because of childhood trauma.

@@WhatWeWatchin Yeah, Peter David filled in that hardcore backstory during his LEGENDARY run as the writer on the Hulk's comic. I wrote in a letter to the comic once. Got a stock reply back from Peter with a small promotional ruler with his name on it. The card said he read and appreciated each letter, but couldn't possibly reply to each one, as it would leave him no time to do the actual writing. Which I completely understood. But he DID sign the card. So he provided a token gift, an autograph, and spent money on postage. As far as I'm concerned, that was above and beyond.

The thing is, Bruce has disassociative identity disorder, and always has, he had just suppressed it up until his gamma radiation accident. He had been abused as a child, per the comics. So his "angry Hulk" thing was just a part of his own personality. So all of his problems with being a rage-monster, and all the time it took him to work through them, weren't due to being a Hulk itself, they were his own suppressed trauma that came out when he got the superpowers. Jen is what happens when a psychologically healthy person gets that power.

Awesome episode. I loved the post-credit scene. The music in this episode was terrific. Also loved the interaction between Smart Hulk and She-Hulk. She-Hulk fan since 1994.

My favorite moment was the ship from Sakaar being introduced so early because it can set up so much for the future (no spoilers). Also liked the QR code in the bar that takes you to Savage She-Hulk #1.

They probably won’t do this in the series but at some point in the comics she gets stuck as She Hulk. She is still Jennifer in personality but she can’t revert back. Since she has come to love being She Hulk, she just rolls with it.

She also went through a time recently where she became a more rage-filled, inarticulate Hulk. That was cool for awhile, but so much of the fun of her is how much she enjoys her Hulkiness while still being smart and rational.

Really enjoyed this first episode and loved all the tidbits we got about the Hulk that filled in the holes quick and neat. Deep down he didn't want her to go back because he finally had potential companionship with someone like himself and someone professor Huk could teach and share his knowledge. Breaks my heart how much you can see he misses Tony. Don't expect to see him a lot in the series as it moves forward but this was a lot of fun.

The reason Jen is still Jen when she hulk is because Bruce and Hulk are not the same, they are different alters as he has DID (Which the MCU sucks at addressing it)

You know who else used to break the fourth wall? ALL the TIME? William. Shakespeare. One of my all-time favorite TV comedies is The Bob Cummings Show, also known as Love That Bob, from the 1950's, and they also broke the fourth wall frequently. It's fun when done right and not to excess, although I felt like the comics got a little too cutesy with it. "That's what the hell you get. Yo Mama didn't raise you right." Got that right!

He did the Thunderclap and sent his cousin flying, but when she did the Thunderclap too, it wasn't as strong, but doing multiple Thunderclaps in succession, it was enough to make Bruce keel over in pain 😅. A bit like the sonic cannons in _The Incredible Hulk_ , which are most likely the very same ones in the Ms. Marvel season finale 😉 🤔.

In the comics, Jennifer is in a car accident and Bruce goes to the hospital to give her a blood transfusion. He didn’t think she would Hulk out. But I like this better that it was a total accident.

It honestly makes more sense. Bruce is a scientist, to even consider contamination of his cousin’s blood with his gamma irradiated blood seems an odd choice for a gamma expert. Plus this change tracks with the previous Hulk films where Bruce’s blood fell onto a scientist’s open wound, changing him, hinting at the creation of The Leader.

Growing fan theory captain America is star lords granddaddy on his mom side. The grandfather in the first movie can be his moms stepdad The same actress who plays star lords mom played a fan girl who comes up to cap. A lot of actors have Been called back to play their decedents in the marvel movies. James Gunn Said that in the guardians of the Galaxy series of movies that it plays with dancers versus non-dancers peter is a dancer his mother was a dancer cap was not a dancer prior to him going into the ice where he states will have the band play something slow because he doesn’t know how to dance for real the next time we see him dance was with Peggy at the end of endgame. Just a theory I came across

Better hulk ROFL, she doesn't have the mental trauma bruce went through, there is nothing there to "protect " (which is what the hulk for bruce is a safety blanket from his emotional trauma), she was raised in a loving family that supported her. So as hulk or not she's jennifer, there is no rage there. The boulder was in outer space. It turned nearly white white from air friction, that thing was going MUCH faster then escape velocity of almost 26,000 mph. He wasn't gonna throw a boulder that would land on people or homes or some shit.

This has the potential to be a celebration of Marvel's storytelling with the lighthearted self aware humor, focus on building likeable characters, and a few cameos and villains to shake things up. It could also swing the other way and the breezy humor could undermine the stakes, the cameos could pull attention away from Jen and end up sucking up screen time, or the show could just be a delivery system to tease future Marvel projects and fill-in some phase 4 gaps. I liked this episode but it's really hard to tell what the show itself will be going forward.

The Sakaar spaceship from Thor Ragnarok, which I believe is Hulk's lover from that planet and she is tracking Hulk down by a tracking device implanted inside Hulk/Banner's body without Banner's knowledge. I think his lover is here to tell Hulk about their kid, yes Hulk was on that planet for 2 years and was a celebrity, so it's natural that he would have a love life. Hulk might have been acting up because Banner took him from his woman without knowing but most viewers thought it was because he got beaten by Thanos and was just scared but was lovesick. I believe that Banner didn't come to an agree with Hulk but found a way to suppress Hulk's persona without Hulk's approval. I believe before this series is over this strange Hulk lover will catchup with Dr. Banner while he is with his friends (Wong, She-Hulk, Abomination, Titania, Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Sam Wilson) celebrating at Banner's bar on his island that Wong transport everyone there. Hulk's lover step inside the room and She-Hulk ask her who she was and she replied the mother of Hulk's son Caiera and right after that Hulk take over Banner's body which expand in size from smart Hulk to savage Hulk siize, as soon as Hulk hear and see his lover and then he aggressively starts to attack everyone at this superhero party.... I will stop here because all of this is my theories some or all might be correct just take this information with caustion or just delete from memory.

All the guys are either stupider, sexist or weaker than the female characters. For some reason all the random guys say sexual/sexist things that make no sense. And if (you or you two) aren't convinced, Jen litterly tells Bruce that her getting catcalled is worse than him seeing his father murder his mom.
