French "person" here! A few tips for France: Try different types of pastries in bakeries (boulangeries) Since you're staying at a hotel the breakfast is probably included so you can have croissant there (in France hotels buy their croissants from bakeries or they freeze them but if the hotel is a little expensive it will be bakery croissants) But at bakeries you can try French specialties like: -chocolatine (in Paris you have to say "pain au chocolat" tho) -gland (it has cream inside it's pretty good) -pain au raisin (old people usually like it so nick has to try it) Make sure your bags are always closed, you could even put them in the front if you have expensive stuff like cameras (you look dumb but that's better than losing everything) Same goes for pockets, don't leave your cards or wallet inside, only invaluable stuff like tissues or coins Try not to wear expensive stuff like a watch or rings Pickpockets and beggars are usually around airports train stations and metro stations so avoid it as much as you can If someone inside the airport talks to you only in French and they look like beggars if you look insistently at security they will help you Don't feel bad for beggars there is a lot of them you cannot help them all Oh yeah if you really wanna help them ask if they want something to eat and buy them a sandwich instead of giving money Paris doesn't have a lot to visit that isn't historical remnants like museum and monuments The catacombs are fun but i don't think you record it (if you want to you need to ask them weeks beforehand and they might have like a 10-20 minutes timing where you can be alone in there before it closes for the night) You can't stream it either way because there is no internet connexion 20M below the surface You have to buy your ticket online a day or two beforehand (so you won't have to wait a 2hour line) I don't live in Paris so I sadly can't recommend you any cafes, restaurants or bistrot (which doesn't have croissants but has alcohol) Have fun!

Don't go out in the Paris city center with an obvious camera. Avoid the restaurants too where you can sit down...they will treat you like shit. Find a spot with some foodtrucks or like DIY stands and you'll have an amazing time. But for the love of god, don't wave your camera around and avoid locals with way too tiny hats and fannypacks worn across the chest. Paris is not a chill city guys, especially during summertime. Best thing to do is to find a bakery, grab some bread and some meat at a local butchery and just hang out on the balcony of your appartment. ;)

I've been to a bunch of places and Paris was absolutely the worst. You get constantly harassed on the streets to buy stuff if you look like a tourist, a lot of the locals are weird/mean and scams/pickpocketing is extremely common. Would highly suggest going to other cities in France instead if you plan on travelling.
