Eventually, no matter how cute you are, all the people around you who have had to clean up behind you will fade away, and you end up a very lonely person, with no idea how or why it happened. Her real problem is she doesn't read. She bought a relaxer kit with color.... And thank God she didn't use the relaxer. That's typically used to straighten very very curly hair. Dear Hair Buddha, thank you so much for posting all your videos! They helped me a lot to not fail in bleaching my hair at home. Wish I could send you before and after pics 😀My hair has remains of henna + indigo on the ends (from a previous life). Indigo leaves blue pigments in the hair. The henna I used was all natural and good quality. But it was not the easiest to apply. So I dyed my regrowth for almost a year (Alfaparf nr 6 - a warm medium brown) A few months back I dyed my hair a dark brown - 4-ish using a box dye. I used a 20 developer + bleach powder -from Alfaparf. Round 1 - I had 3 Olaplex treatments in 1 week (0+3). Round 2: bleached my lengths , avoiding the roots . Olaplexed + waited 3 days. Bleach bath for 15 minutes + roots (bleach bathing them was enough). Looking at the undertones of hair color pics, I could confidently say it was a 7 towards 8-ish on the top while my ends were around level 6 with a lovely tint of muddy green. I didn't want more lift so I olaplexed and after 2 days (today) toned with Redken Shades EQ - safron (a golden 7 on the top), rinsed and dried and applied caramel - a 5 - on the ends. I used Olaplex 1 mixed in the caramel to protect my ends + finished everything with Olaplex 2 allover after rinsing. I have a happy reverse ombre right now and there's no more green on my ends. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 🐾

I've had some great results putting cherry red or violet on dark brown for a subtle office safe bit of fun. It shows up great in the sun, but under the horrible office lights it's fine for conservative coworkers. I did this on a Bob years ago. These days I'm going gray with hair to my waist that's almost always in a braid. Every so often I think about taking what would be bangs/fringe and coloring a streak, but then I just get the super temporary 1 day spray in color instead.

My friends and I used to love putting semi-permanant color glazes over our dark hair. Red, purple, blue, plum, fuchsia, and burgundy. I've gotta say that if someone is confused by a haircare product, then look at the packaging and see if it's a black person on it. If there's one or more black people on it, then that's why people don't understand the product. It's made for black people (also mixed people with their black parent's hair), but a lot of other races can use it if it's ok with their hair. Also, the packaging on the bottles for the products is exactly the style that black/ethnic products tend to use. So since it's by a black company for black people, that's why there's a relaxer included. To make it easier on us, just sell us both products. They make the relaxer that's in the green box at Walmart. One of them has a girl on it 'cause it's for kids. Then they also make hair dyes. So sell them together. So black people straighten their hair at home (I never do that 'cause I'd ruin my hair) and then color it. So why not get both in one box if the company makes both? So it's a good idea for this company to sell both in a kit.

I don’t dye at home but quick search says cut open trash bag, spread on floor of bathtub, cut sml hole above the drain for the water to go through. Avoid fall or slip by bending over tub to rinse dye from hair. Let hair dye on bag a bit before taking out. I’d put Vaseline around tub drain for leaks. Can also use big trash bags or drop cloths and mirror to apply and rinse in metal sink like kitchen. Thus is why I only get low maint hilites done by longtime stylist. I actually didn't know silver was a "thing" either. But there's only so many things u can do w/ hair. So I'm sure we're bound to come across the same things, regardless of location age race wever. It's just in the stores. Unless u have a thin mohawk in the middle of a mullet, w/ temperature changing, glow in the dark, rainbow hair dyed, w/ black in between to put emphasis on the colors? But in different shades of black? Gelled & hairsprayed everything w/ glitter gel, & you're that dedicated to all that on the daily, then sure. Prob Noone has that "thing."there's me trying to be all wholesome like we're all one race. Literally. Who knows where the entire past migrated to bc we weren't even there. Vs my hair being part of my identity... & not being too stereotypical. Shut up. I prob am a mutt & it kinda makes me wanna have a breakdown. Kind of. But I also wanna one day will take one of those DNA tests. Bc 🤷🏻♀️ I just wanna know
