So many trainers I’ve worked with over the decades (as a client), all of them say the most rewarding client is the elderly. For example: Not being able to lift zero weight to bicep curling 5-10lb. It’s not the loud grunting bench press bros…no no….it’s nana, delaying her permanent residence to assisted living. Young trainers need to be reminded of that.

We tend to take the little things for granted when we are young!! Then all of a sudden your approaching 40 and holy shit your knees sound like rice krispies and your back is tight and sore!! Than your hips go when glutes and back are not strong anymore!! *Listen to the older people we were just like you once and we are living it!!! Ive changed my whole body, started at 48, now 51 post menopause! My body looks great, my mental health is great and I feel fabulous!! we don't have to dig ourselves a hole and die yet!!!! STRONG OVER SKINNY!!

I'm 51 and started adding mobility and flexibility exercises the day after my heavy days also added some calithenics movements with no weights. It's hard stuff but our flexibility and mobility is so important as we age! Especially menopausal women!! I feel I'm getting amazing knowledge from you .THANK-YOU!!

I always remember being a little kid and my grandpa so effortlessly picking me up and spinning me around, all the way to the age of 9 or so. I wasn’t a particularly heavy kid, but man am I grateful that he could do it with such ease and still play with his grandkids. I attribute it to him always staying active. Not even at the gym either. He would just do projects around his house to keep his muscles working.

I have to say greatly thank you for this tip. I don’t pay enough attention to social media, but the single standing leg stretch with your leg out. Just relieved the majority of the pain in my bulging discs in my lower lumbar after a recent stupid injury. Thank you.

I’m there. Just turned 59. Been weight lifting since I was 12. Aim thinking about calisthenics. Seems like it would get the joints healthy. Still lovin the feel of moving weight and moving through full ranges on motion. Maybe mix it up but I have been doing a lot of serious stretching. Love it live it. You won’t be sorry. Promise.

I do body weight goblet squats for 30 seconds each day. I work at Moe’s southwest grill and we have extremely hard floors and I work a lot. I’ve noticed I’m able to work much better no more knee pain or lower back. Just a tip that I’ve noticed and something that I like to do with my Goblet squat is, taking my elbows placing them on the inside of the knees and pushing your knees outwards using elbows. It really opens the hips and groin

My wife had a severe case of sepsis 2 years ago (at age 71) and has been bedridden every since. She is just getting to the point of being able to transfer from the bed to a wheelchair without the use of our Hoyer in the last couple of weeks. I firmly believe that, had she been able to do a lot of these exercises, she would have recovered substantially faster. Unfortunately, she was also suffering from a degenerative disc disease in her lower back for the last decade, which is my fault. If I had thought to put her through stem cell therapy when it first started, she would be leaps about bounds ahead of where she is today. If you have soft tissue damage, _FIND THE MONEY_ to have stem cell therapy done and then get up and exercise every day.

Remember, when you squat or deadlift, say 400 lbs, the weight is pushing down against your spine at 400 lbs, meanwhile an equal amount of weight from the earth is pushing back at the same weight, for a total of 800 lbs of pressure within your spine, it's called physics.

Where did you find this? I’m curious
@giantlactismid57045 күн бұрын
I mean, of your muscles were aching i think you focused a little too much in the exact parts that make you walk It's kind of good but it depends, i would recomend making less of them (If you couldn't walk for 3 days maybe it's too much exercise in parts you normaly don't) This happens to me every time i run long distances or do jumping squats, i supose it's because you exercise key muscles that get involved a lot while walking and not in "normal" exercises Kinda how you can train lets say biceps until your biceps are dead buy your day won't be ruined, but if you do the same lets say with abs, you won't be able to get out of bed
@asura84955 күн бұрын
It's not neccessary to cause such discomfort as a casual lifter, unless getting big is really really high on your priority list
@nonosquare2594 күн бұрын
For those who were curious about what I did: you do about 4-5 reps, and it should go from the heaviest to the lightest weight. However, I couldn’t manage that, so I did, for example, squats starting with 4 pounds, then 4 kg, 8 kg, and back to 4 kg. The last one was just bodyweight. I actually felt good-felt my muscles working and everything. I also used the hip abduction machine for legs (where you move them apart while sitting). I did 15, 30, 45, 30, 20, and 10 pounds, if I remember correctly. I don’t know, I went for about a month and mainly wanted to lose fat from my butt and back. Oh my god, after that, I was in so much pain-it felt like I needed crutches. I saw progress after doing this. I’m not very experienced, but I’ve had some trainers before, and I’ve never had this kind of effect. As a matter of fact, I only did this routine in about 20-25 minutes.
