I envy your home and I’m an architect. Licensed in Colorado. Ironically I’ve designed many multi-million dollar homes in Steamboat Springs, and the Yampa Valley. Sadly, I have never been able to afford to design and build a home of my own. Financially, my life just didn’t work out that way, in spite of hard work and financial responsibility. When I do, it will be similar to yours, everything you need, nothing you don’t. There is freedom in the simple life. yeah, but most people - especially women - do not need anything more than a twin bed. Getting an extra-long twin might be better for tall women, but at 38" wide, a twin mattress's width should be plenty. Most men have their own home or apartment after the age of 50 years old, so for a woman to have a large mattress is a bit silly. For "romance", just go to the man's place.

those dark walls, ESPECIALLY if they are shiplap, make the interiors so claustrophobic-looking. It seems like a thin stucco of some sort could be done over them after filling in the gaps or valleys between the boards. I think even a heavy-duty wallpaper made for wet areas might work over shiplap. Just watching videos of being inside those dark-walled shiplap tiny homes makes me wanna run outside and stay there a few hours.

Hi Julia - We have a lodge that includes a laundry room. Residents each get an assigned weekly time slot. Overnight renters can also use the facility. Not extra cost. Thanks for asking.

Hello S - Yes! You have a quick eye! It plays a tune when the lid is opened! Got it for $12 bucks at a garage sale. Loved the inlaid wood. Light weight so easy to move around. Good catch!

Agree - I used to live there. It's an amazing spot and community but that editing in the thumbnail was totally off. They cut out a complete area of housing between the tiny village and ocean.
