I feel like after leaving Mirabel would grow up one of two ways, her being related to Bruno could add onto anther reason as to why Abuela gets on to her alot and when they are arguing after "What Else Can I Do" Abuela reveals that she is not Julieta's daughter and then the parent reveal happens. Or she could grow up like canon and then once Mirabel starts asking about Bruno , Julieta sits Mirabel sown and have a talk about Mirabel being Bruno's daughter. Anyway, your animatic was awesome! The emotion behind it was so heartfelt!

I actually love this theory, if Mirabel is Bruno's illegitimate child that can explain why the house did not give her a gift- she is still a part of the family ofcourse, but she did not know who she really was, who her REAL parents are, thus her door was erased when she tried to open it. And oh my oh my I can't help but cry when I see dad bruno leaving the one thing in the world he loved most to protect her! Aaaaah the feels.
