Oh my goodness, hugs to you, Michelle. I’m a nurse so I know that recovery is really tough. It’s so wonderful that you are now enjoying a beautiful life in PV. ❤

Inspirational! My sister did some burn center type nursing and from her stories, I know recovery is a VERY slow and painful process! So happy that Michelle found her Paradise in Mexico! Great story as always Brighton! The views from the condo were stunning! Mil Gracias!

Burns and treatment sound really awful. Michelle has some pretty big scars, but seems like a super happy person now!
@knerduno59422 жыл бұрын
Recovery is not slow anymore. Using a person's own Stem Cells, full recovery can be in three weeks now, and no visible scarring. They use a device called "Skin Cell Gun" which sprays the cells on the burn area. The skin grows back in three weeks. No grafing needed.

Thanks for watching Pam. It was amazing to hear how few people live there full time. It was empty in July.

My heart goes out to you! Three months ago I fainted in a sauna and suffered several large third degree burns. I have been bed ridden since the accident. This week I get the staples out of my grafts. I’m just starting to get my strength back and walking some. I hope to spend my winters in Mexico as soon as I’m totally well.

Oh my Karen. I hope someone was in the sauna too to help you. Michelle was alone when it happened to her. Best of luck in your recovery! And your part-time move to Mexico!

Hello Brighton! Thank you very much for providing these personal interviews! They are always so informative; and you do such a great job with these. Ughhh… my heart pours for Michelle for what she has had to endure. I have had so many coworkers in the Army that have endured burns; they are absolutely horrible. Ha…I also liked Michelle’s Freudian slip about having great access to the clubs hehehehe. I really enjoyed the energy of Mexico when we were visiting Mazatlan! Even in the middle of the week, so many friends and families out sharing the night together along the malecon. For us, this property is out of our range. We could afford it, but we would have to sell our house in Colorado; which we wouldn’t want to do. But….I do really like this condo! Safe travels!

Thanks Alan. Burns are horrible! We are in a similar boat - keeping our house in Oregon and going back and forth to a place that's more affordable in Mexico works well for us. But I would love to swim in that pool!

Wow. Hell of a story about a survivor. And the view's not bad either. I do crave more, rural so hurry up and fix the water problems in La Paz. You really should do a piece on that subject. In my opinion anyway (for what that's worth ). P n D

Do you have a video on if someone want to just live in an apartment, anywhere in Mexico, for like 6 months? Do you need a visa or something? Wow, more expensive than I would have thought. I wonder what HOA fees are.
@AlmostRetiredinMexico2 жыл бұрын
There are tourist "visas" that can last up to 180 days - you get them at the border (or airport) but it's not a guarantee that you'll get 180 days. This part of PV is pretty pricey. You can rent a home in most parts of Mexico for as low as a few hundred dollars per month. But most expats prefer places that cost between $600 and $1500 (nicer places/nicer neighborhoods/nicer amenities.) HOA fees in the $100/month range seem pretty common in Mexico. I have a video about rentals in La Paz, with some ideas on finding affordable places at the end. You'll need something furnished, which will increase the price. Plus I'm assuming you'll want to be there in the high season, and some folks want to rent for an entire year. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX2lpmSglL56e5Y

@AlmostRetiredinMexico2 жыл бұрын
Where in California could you get a place like this with a huge pool on the beach with condo payments in the $100-200 / month range? Yes, you can find a place to live in California for similar prices, but the place won't be similar. And the bar down the street won't charge $5 for a margarita.

$500K for the condo; you can live a better life and retire elsewhere. This folks have money to burn. It isn't all that great for the money. The property that is..
@AlmostRetiredinMexico Жыл бұрын
It all depends what you value. I personally wouldn’t want to live in a condo like this so it’s not worth $500k to me. But everyone has their own list of what they are looking for. And then supply and demand sets the price.

Are there poor Mexican people in Mexico💭 see a lot of Americans and Canadians living there. Does Canadian government send your pension checks there💭
@AlmostRetiredinMexicoАй бұрын
The majority of Mexicans would be considered poor by US / Canadian standards. But they are very happy. I believe that Canada is like the US in that it sends any "earned" retirement benefits overseas. But if you have "unearned" (like if you didn't work but the government provides you a minimal check to live off in retirement) then you need to stay in your home country to get the check.
