I have a theory that’s mostly speculation and head canon: I think Ambers uncle was maybe a scientist or a doctor of some sort and he experimented with an unknown liquid on one of his patients. The patients skin started turning a greyish hue, it became desiccated and quickly the patient started violently ripping its hair out and it started attacking. Since then, the creature killed the doctor who was working privately and the monster retreated into the forest, where it would adapt and learn a skill that hypnotises prey and somehow infects them, causing an outbreak of these creatures that hunt during the night and steal more people to multiply.

These are sooo great! I love that Lauren makes them funny even though they are supposed to be scary. I think I know what her song meant Was she was kidnapped and trapped yet they couldn’t help her Similarly the “blast” could be in representation of an explosion,basically a sudden blast from an object that goes unnoticed long enough to blow the place up which can kill or injure many people For simplicity-a blast/explosion is a sudden burst which can endanger multiple people if it goes unnoticed this makes sense since she needed help,but they didn’t make it, it went unnoticed

Im guessing the mysterious creature that was singing in the 3rd floor was the victim and Amber wasnt, and the bit when they saipd "wait whats your uncles job again?" She was probably thinking. "I wont tell them, they would call the police and find out about my uncle." And i think her uncle was probably in mental healthcare and died eventually, the extremely tall demon that was depicted attacking the girl held hostage that was flagging for help was holding the singing girl hostage and mentally abused her so hard that she lost herself. The girl singing was the one that was in need of help, the creature that attacked the singing girl was probably the uncle coming back to control Amber.
