Nick doesn't really suit the way people live in Norway. If he did move there he'd have to adjust so much. Malena has already adjusted to the way she lives by living in the US for a bit now. I think it's pretty clear Malena just misses her family and you can tell she cares a lot about it. She's probably always the person that's arranging everything when it comes to family things as she likes everybody to be together. I just don't think Nick has it in him to live that sort of life out in Norway.
