@@WastedPo I would slightly change that to: "if social media didn't exist these instances would lessen." People still did this for attention from the news. Ex- retail employee here. That Walgreen's employee actually saved her. Retail fire alarms aren't like the fire alarms ppl use to pull in highschool. They are usually connected to the sprinkler system. If pulled, products can get ruined and we are talking thousands of dollars worth of damage that the store manager would have to beg corporate to replace. Money that they wouldn't be too thrilled to spend. Money that she would have definitely been sued for. Even if they didn't have the sprinkler system connected, that still would have been a 50/50 gamble. Not a wise decision.

I mean, they're not getting hurt, its not making a huge disgusting mess like the AHs who pretend to fall w/ a few gals of milk that spills everywhere. tbh if I worked at a Walmart, and someone did this, I wouldn't be too annoyed, maybe shocked, bc let's admit it, ghetto train wrecks like this are entertaining to a degree (which is why reality TV is huge) and if I had a live show going on while on the clock, I'd find it a bit funny. And trust me there is alway something that needs to get done in retail. Even managers more than likely don't make enough to want to deal with such a "prank." they also need to start being apart of their lives. this child was given a phone too young and told to go play somewhere else. this is the sign of "I had no attention growing up, I crave it now where now if I act up at least I do get any attention is good attention." she's acting like she's still 6. she didn't grow up, she didn't learn, she refused to learn and her parents weren't in her life apparently enough to make her feel like she had the attention she needed. her parents failed her.

I work at Walmart. I hate it every day. And I will say, working there has obliterated my expectations in society, and made my social anxiety raise to an all time high. We've had many people like this and kids that try to do dumb "pranks" like this, and will do EVERYTHING to get a reaction. A case i remember is some tweens who would just pester employees by dropping a condom that i can only assume they found in their dad's wallet, then shout as loud as they can "OOOPS, I DROPPED MY TROJAN!" if they didn't get a reaction, they'd say it again. If not that time, they'd move to another aisle and pester another employee. We've also had a few teens/new adults dash into our back rooms to exclaim they're on a "Tour" and the thing is. We don't care. We will not give the attention they want. We are tired of working there because of higher ups that don't respect us, and the customers who seem to be the most entitled crowd willing to yell and offend the workers to get what they want. These pranks are never funny. And if you ask many retail workers, they'll tell you they don't go out often because their job made them terrified and bothered about the society they walk among.
