Sure, he could delete a fake video, think they've (pranksters) done that before on very controversial ones, but they also don't plead with the viewers that they most definitely did no wrong and that the viewers needed to grow up. Then the fact too that all his other pranks, like recording women in the bathroom, were not fake, make it pretty solid he's trying to cover up the hate. My mom worked with the homeless population and has always been one to give/buy food for homeless people she sees (one time in a restaurant there was a homeless man, she walked over and asked if he wanted breakfast. She took him over to the ordering kiosk thing and helped him pick out a good meal. She does this all the time) so that first “prank” was just awful to see. Even if it’s fake. Really. Regardless if it was fake or not, it still happened and it was still incredibly disrespectful. Just because he may or may not be a drug user doesn't mean he doesn't deserve respect. I dont know about the law in USA, but if you even just bring out a lighter like in 2:48 while refueling or anything close to that, you will get 10years jail and 50k(my currecny) fine with NO appealing in court. It can be increase if he did try to spark the lighter to 25years and 100k.

That's why we don't have this kind of thread over here. We had a few and they were all brought to court and lost. There were kids doing this too(1 time) and they were beaten up before the police arrived. He was badly injured. Also when to court and lost. Double blow to him. The prank was he try to fight someone on the escalator. He "prank" 2 Chinese girls and when they shouted, they were trying to run but both top and bottom of the escalator people were waiting. They were beaten.

Worst is, those are not only harmless, but still genuinely funny. What makes a prank funny isn't necessarily what the prank is, but people's reaction to them. Some pranks aren't even clever. But seeing how the prank victim will double over laughing when the prank is revealed is so uplifting and so genuine. A prank isn't meant to make people uncomfortable or upset. It's supposed to shock them and have them laugh at the reveal.

I used to pull harmless pranks on my granddad. I knew him, knew how he would react, and thought about it real hard before doing it because he had heart problems. I just wanted us both to have a good laugh. There's no such thing as harmlessly pranking strangers.

Who even watches prank channels anymore? Like, I genuinely don't understand the appeal. With Impractical Jokers or other actual prank productions, it's about embarrassing yourself in front of complete strangers and making an ass of yourself, where as all these "prank" channels don't poke fun at themselves and just harass people who don't want to be recorded.
