The problem is, these girls are literally “out on the streets”. When everything revolves around sex, women are the market makers. She only needs one buyer, so she can set the price high for the chance of sex with her. But actual relationships? She doesn’t set the market for that. Since the pool of women a man would sleep with tends to be far larger than the pool he’d actually get into a relationship with. For women, that pool is almost the same thing. Sure, there’s men that some women would sleep with but never date, but those men probably don’t have to pay $200 for a first date either, because she’s physically aroused by them and she actually wants to be in their presence. My girlfriend of one year is from Miami. We met on on a Coffee date at our college in Indiana. She told me something really interesting. That in Indiana coffee dates are more than okay but back in Miami they are a red flag. Girls want to make sure a guy is serious about them, and not just wanting sex, and one form of that is by him showing that he would commit to having dinner rather than something cheap. Not to mention culturally it is also the status quo there due to there being so much to do. In the midwest there seems to be way more fear about getting played or exploited by a girl for dinner on a first date, and hence why it is more uncommon. Not to mention it's a slower paced culture with less to do so having a first date in a small coffee shop is more understandable. These videos come out and go viral in places other than they were filmed, much because people don't understand the culture of that area. And in turn villainaize the woman for doing what is the status quo in that region, but not in theirs. I think a woman's presence is a beautiful thing, it's why we hold doors for them, pay for food, buy them flowers etc... it's the root of chivalry. Taken out of this context it seems like a spoiled privilege.
