She was sickly much of his childhood and the children were reportedly often left to nannies or their own devices. Trump saw how his older brother was treated for being "soft" by his father and knew to get his father's favor he had to be the opposite. So he took on a bully persona which probably wasn't hard given the lack of care he got as a small child. His father loved and rewarded it when he acted as a bully. (Source-his niece's book). I think part of him is still stuck in that small child mode, just wanting as much attention as he can get and acting out for it. It's sad really.

Trump's mother came from the same island that my mother came from, in the Outer Hebrides. Those island communities were very hard working, religious and intelligent - at one time producing the most university graduates per capita in the UK. There were many "Donald Johns" in the islands, and they were almost always referred to (like one of my uncles) as simply "DJ". Funny, I've often looked at DJ Trump and thought how natural he would look sitting by a peat-burning stove, wearing a Fair Isle jumper and smoking a pipe after a hard day at the shearing. No doubt, he'd disagree - but in an agreeable way.

@@annemariemcnamara8756absolutely, I 100% agree he's a good man whos been hammered by the democrats for no reason other then he went from a democrat to a republican, and the democrats couldn't have a republican who could win and destroy all the illegal, imoral, and radical things they had and still have going on!!, so they have hounded him in the media telling lies and making people hate him for no good reason. They first planned a riot at the capital and acussed Trump of doing it saying he was guilty of insurrection and had him impeached, then they accused him of election interference when they cheated in the election, had him impeached again! So in his second term he was out of the office, everything was right in the world for the democrats as they were able to really start destroying America, and the American people things have gotten so bad this country is in shambles so President Trump decides he will run for office again because his country is failing and his fellow Americans are in trouble! Then once again the democrats (obama) can't have that it will ruin everything for them so here they go again with the hate, the lies having the media cover for them they've tried to take Trumps money with fony charges and court charges by people who campaigned souly on taking Trump down again he is ridiculed in the media and at obidens speeches again making him hated by the public, they tried to jail him, and the last straw was when they tried to have him assassinated!!!! Oh yes they did anyone who didn't hate Trump because they were told to knew if anything happened to him who would be the ones responsible!!!!!!!!

Just so People are clear…this woman is NOT Irish. She is a Scot, from the clan Macleod from the Isle of Lewis in the Western Isles of Scotland. From the little port of Stornaway. Find it on a map. English is not her first Language; her first language is Gaelic….Scots Gaelic. It is closely related to Irish but not really mutually inteligible. Mores the pity. This island she comes from produces perhaps the best wool, the best woollen cloth, in the world, called Harris Tweed…..”Harris” is the southern half of the Isle of Lewis. Donald Trump is half Scottish. He’s the real deal, in other words. Oh…and “Donald” is a traditional Scottish Highlander’s name. …as in CLAN Donald…or “MacDonald”. Free history lesson.

No shade didn't know that but I'm just wondering why he doesn't talk about that at least as much as he talked about where are other people come from?

It is one reason why Donald purchased his Ireland estate , he loved the people. The lifestory of Mrs Trump is typical of so many from Scotland and Ireland, decent people who had to leave for economic purposes. Some never returned. 🎉

I'm reading your comment when you say Mrs. Trump is not Irish. Who is it for you or anybody else to say that she's not. If you have an ancestry account type, her name up and her information will come up to say what her heritage is.
