If Banda was trans (she's not, but as we're disregarding facts, let's pretend that she is), she would have still played at a fairly high level in the men's game to still be as good as she is as a woman, bearing in mind the effects that transitioning has on your body. A high enough level to probably earn more than she would do in the women's game.

Not necessarily,,, some trans men will have top surgery but often avoid lower half surgery as it involves creating a skin graft to form male genitalia which can take many many months to achieve. After the surgery to connect everything it is not without problems including the recovery period...

Reminds me of the story of Erik Schinegger, born 1948 in Austria, who was raised as a girl and was a world class alpine skier in the female category. He was struggeling a long time to learn about his condition. Fascinating story.

Does he/she have XY chromosome? They look to me as though they have gone through male puberty. If they do have XY chromosomes, then this person is male. Although there are DSDs where females can have XY chromosomes, there are none where they can also go through male puberty. So it may have been difficult to tell at birth, but it would become clear after puberty as to what sex they are. Now I don't know what this person's chromosomes are, but this might be the case, as it was with the Olympic Boxers.
