You are the third theory crafter to not say her burst is useless or not gonna use much. The others being Sevy and Brax. You guys are the best. Nothing against the other content creators, they still did great. But happy her burst can make her more dynamic with the team. ❤️

Her burst IS dogshit though. It's absolute garbage. It can miss because it's literally just one arrow in a tiny ass aoe and you only apply the mark to ONE target O.o. Literal doodoo water. Her outrageous NA spam left click ezwin mode makes up for it though. No problem, all the power budget went into one thing, not the end of the world.

A slightly less expensive but still fair character to give her is Kokomi. She’ll still get the right vapes and 4pc tenacity gives a buff. You can even do clam set if Kokomi is invested since the burst aoe is within Yoimiya’s optimal attack range. Not as strong as Xingqui exactly but I wouldn’t say it’s weak at all on hyper carry.

4p TotM + TToDS on Kokomi is not that bad as it will give your yoimiya a 68% attack boost, making it so you can Ultimately skip Bennet and just use Thoma + Yunjin instead.

another thing to note, her c1 and c4 are pretty useful doing co op as long as your teammates attack the marked enemies. if c4 is procced consistently, you wont even have downtime on her skill

I would say Echoes is still preferable over Shimenawa, though not necessarily worth farming if you have a good set. As TC has shown, all her artifacts perform somewhat the same but echoes allows you to use your burst, which for some teams (mono pyro, overload) is still nice. It is also the only AOE aspect of her kit. The value of being able to use her burst also takes a leap if you go for cons.

I’m using yoi with shim and a good way to avoid the energy issue is to open with ult, then sub dps and burst and skill to get energy with pyro(if in team) last then u should have enough energy to activate the buff and keep spamming normal anyway

Thing Abt shime and her burst. You will be able to burst before your roation, using your supports and triggering it, those supports will give you more than enough energy to still activate shimenawa and not kill your thundering pulse stack by gaining too much energy

11:09 different scaling of her attacks does not say anything about how good echoes set is on yoimiya, because the additional dmg coming from the 4pc set is flat, just like yunjin's ultimate. what you need to be actually considering is your team comp. if you build a team with a sp like yunjin, whose additional dmg will benefit from dmg bonus% stat, shimenawa will be better than echoes. if you are building a team with a bunch of dmg bonus%, such as full em kazuha with r5 freedom sworn, echoes is likely to deliver more potential to yoimiya. i personally think shimenawa set will outscale echoes set at all times if you can get her 130% er and pair her up with bennet and favonius lance yunjin.

Yoi is good enough to clear abyss contents with flying colors without even her burst with sr set. And if you really need the extra bit of damage from her burst? Just bring in benny and fav users. Yelan, yunjin are both excellent fav users. Sr is her best set for the simple reason that most players will be farming momiji court for months to years on end if they want to be resin efficient. There is absolutely little to no reason to farm for the bollide domain. Even then, if you do, for how long? 2 months? For 20 to 30 cv pieces if you're super lucky? Hell nah. Most players have been farming emblem domain for a year now, so having a godly sr set is within the realm of possibility for most players.

How does shimenawa don’t work with thundering pulse ? It fits it perfectly!! 1st stack is when u do NA 2nd is when u cast ur elemental skill 3rd is when ur er is not full ? Where does it say that ‘using ur burst stacks the pulse” it gives u a stack when ur energy is not full. So it works almost like match made in heaven with shimenawa Since u casting her E takes her energy away Which gives u 2 stacks and u do NA and get ur 3rd stack THERE .

Er substats arent even an issue. You get them wether you want to or not, its impossiboe to have all 4 substats to be crit and atk. and unless you're the luck god. You'll generally have have 1 to 2 rolls of it in your pieces. Also. Er is a lot better than flat subs or defense or hp subs and is on par with em subs.

it's because raiden's potential is wasted in yoimiya teams. raiden is great for teams that are burst focused. yoimiya is more NA focused hence fischl and beidou are better options. this also frees raiden for your other teams :)

Protip: if you are going to hard pull for yoimiya when her banner shows up this week, today (monday) you will want to run the violet court for talent books, otherwise ull be stuck waiting for thursday Edit: her c6 is actually so bad that it isnt worth pulling unless you are ignoring reactions, maybe worse than benetts c6 (as c6 will occasionally cause her entire rotation to unsync vape/melt/other, it cannot be overstated how bad that is since like 90% of her damage will come from those high multipliers)

I might be crazy but I like running Yoimiya, Kokomi, Yelan and Zhongli. Yoimiya and Yelan are the main damage dealer and all 3 of them buffs Yoimiya. Not the best team but still very fun tho. The biggest problem with this team is that they are all 5 stars.

No no, that's a great team Koko isn't doing much off field damage but is a great attack buffer for Yoi Thrilling tales attack buff can have 100% uptime for her infusion duration with a slightly delayed rotation on top of tenacity and Yelan's burst buff. Your team is quite effective! If not, a bit safe with the healing :)

I'm struggling about my Kazuha since I've got him by accident and it's just too sad to skip him in a team. I was pulling for Yoimiya yesterday and at the end of the day I have too many characters that fits her. Right now I'm playing Yoimiya with Yun Jin, Xingqiu and Thoma/Diona because of shield requirement but also I do have Bennett and Kazuha. Is it okay to put both of them with Itto and Gorou? I can put them to Yoimiya team but I think that the others don't fit Itto much. If I'll build Kazuha with ATK/Anemo/Crit artefacts (because EM won't buff Geo DMG) what weapon will work good? Black sword (battle pass), Cursed sword? Any other? (He is c1 so I'll keep my sacraficial sword for Xingqiu) 2nd solution is Yoimiya, Yun Jin, Kazuha, Bennett. Then Itto, Gorou, Xingqiu, Thoma/Diona for Element application (ofc in this scenario Kazuha will be based on EM) I like 2nd one because Benny and Kazuha can deal with groups when Yoimiya is out of field but there is no shield for her (sadly) but is there any sense to use Xingqiu and Thoma/Diona with Itto? Any other ideas? Farewell Adventurers!

Personally, I think Yoimiya deserves a buff and/or her kit needs a rework because between her burst, signature weapon, and synergy with artifact sets (namely Shim’s), it feels so confusing lol. I don’t think she’s BAD and I’m frankly annoyed people crapping on her, but Genshin really was making a mess. She is fine but she should be allowed to have a higher potential. They realized HuTao was too good with all her talents, so they decided to botch Yoimiya’s burst lol.

Yoimiya’s really great for mobile players since all you do is spam her normal attack. But that’s up to you! If you don’t like her or enjoy her it’s probably not worth it.

as someone who has both klee and yoimiya i tend to use yoimiya more just because she’s easier to play on my ipad

I would say if you wanna really invest on her, C2 R1 is a nice stopping point. With the weapon being more relevant than the constellations.
