Actually, I saw in a history presentation once that in the military there used to be tampons added to men's 1st aid supplies because they're great for sticking into certain wounds to apply pressure in order to slow bleeding, & the handy string makes sure all the cotton comes out of the wound when the medic is ready to treat them. It's much better than trying to use several small gauzes!

Thank you so much for reacting to this movie! I always thought it was really underrated. Cheese, but funny af. Julie Haggerty, the woman who plays Viola and Sebastian's mom, is a fantastic, and lauded, comedic actress. She's absolutely brilliant in the classic, benchmark 1970s comedy Airplane, as well as What About Bob? with Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss. Fun fact: when Channing flicks the dude with the towel, he actually hit him in the eye, so the reaction was real.

If you saw Amanda Bynes today, you wouldn't recognize her. She looks so much different now than she did when she made this movie. She was in bad shape for awhile. But what I've read, she's doing better. Anyway, I liked this movie when I saw it when it came out on DVD years ago. It was a funny movie. Cool fact about the young girl who plays in Cheaper By the Dozen 2 who goes on a date with the boy played by young Taylor Lautner to see a movie. She has been in several shows and movies and voice overs. She was also the same youbg girl who dance in Missy Elliots video and now she is a you g woman all gtown up and 20 years later after that Missy Elliot video was made. She came back and dis the dance at the Missy Elliot tribute.

It may work, but if it seals off a bleed and he pulls it out, I can start bleeding again maybe worse... so I may work but not always. Look up better ways to deal with it... (I have my first aid level 3)

I had recurrent, severe nosebleeds for most of my life and actually did use tampons up my nose. They expand and apply pressure to stop the bleeding. Plus they’re hands free
