What I have enjoyed most and I could be so wrong, yet it was last year and this family was ready to hit the high seas and all was ready and in what for us was like a moment all drastically came about to savage and rebuild this vessel. Seems that once the dirrection was choosen everyone pulled in the same dirrection and with the same vision! Rare! So much work and all of them know how much and still all pull in the same dirrection! Maximum untiy of vision! Thank you Dauntless family for including us in your epic work!

Awesome job. Must say that after I saw the boat under water I thought it was a ridiculous idea to bring it back to life. But you guys have done an amazing job and showed what a family with perseverance can accomplish. Hats off to you and hope you will have glorious sailing days on this beautiful boat. Cleaning out, repairing and getting that boat in the water in under 12 months is a DAMN impressive feat. On Prop-Speed: definitely worth it, I worked in a boat yard for LARGE boats for a while and only the trawlers that hauled out did not get their props done with Prop-Speed. Apparently it would not have made enough of a difference when they spend 90% of their time doing 3-5 knots. The feathering props look like they'll perform nicely and having them counter rotating will improve both the handling and efficiency (according to people with more knowledge than I having the port shaft rotating counter clockwise (when viewed from the stern) results in the two flows from the props push against each other.)

That is most excellent that you chose this boat. Especially with the reputation that Lagoon is fastly (is that a word) getting with regards to bulkhead damage. I believe probably 3 years ago Sailing Nahoa did an episode on bulkhead repair, if not just door frame cracking. I hope that hasn’t lead to bulkhead failure before they head off to Africa on their circumnavigation from Thailand. Job so well done, I often thought as I festudiusly watched your progress….why are they going so far beyond getting this Leopard to top notch quality to just sell it. I thought whom ever bought it had a better than factory boat. Those were lucky souls. Safe travels and hope you find out what happened to the Barefoot Doctors Lagoon 50, Dash. So happy for you all to see the boat is now in the water. It's also amazing to know that when you started this adventure with the severely damaged hull that it now looks the way that it does, which is awesome. It looked big on the rail, but in the water, it really gives a better view of its size and how much fun it will be to actually live on it in the future. While the yellow paint didn't look as nice as the original bronze material did, it has to be a whole lot better than having it covered with a bunch of unwanted sea creatures. Happy trails (or is that happy sailing) on your next segment moving to Florida. When do you put the mast and rigging on the boat?
