Hi Friends, just want to let you know that I can’t upload a video this coming Thursday as I usually do. I had a biopsy done on my face for potential skin cancer. Thus, I’m just not camera ready. I had this video in my archive and thought I would just go ahead and release it. Let me know what you think of this style of video. When I say unedited, I mean that it’s edited only as absolutely needed for privacy. I do add music and adjust volume as needed. My typical shop with us videos leave out a lot of things that we see because there’s less these days that we buy to resell. This time I shared pretty much everything that we saw at the sales. Let us know your thoughts. If you like or don’t like this style and why. I can’t please everyone but I can try to please most. Thank you, Vickie & Mark ~ Avante Avenue

This unedited video gives an unvarnished view of what shopping for resale is actually like. Of course it’s fun to find a treasure in the pile of junk but it requires a lot more work than those outside the reselling community realize. The unrealistic prices were an eye opener for even me. And actually I felt stressed for you.
@AvanteAvenue4 ай бұрын
So true! I haven’t been putting out a lot of shop with us videos because I was afraid if we didn’t find a whole bunch of stuff, no one would like the video. But this is the reality of sourcing these days and it’s still fun to see what’s out there. I was considering a second channel, but that would create more work to separate out the shop with us videos. So far, the majority of the feedback, it’s a “yes.” The irony of your comment is that I felt stressed about releasing this video. I’ve sat on it for two weeks, afraid that it might crash our channel. Thank you, Pat!

Absolutely love your channel. I do have a hard time hearing music in the background. For some reason it tires me out, so I turn it down real low and then I miss what you’re saying. Thank you guys for all you do. I really appreciate you

Yes, I was unusually shaky in this one. I had a brand new phone and the case was slippery. I was holding on to it too tightly and trying to manage my basket too. My other videos are not this jerky. Thanks!

It’s ironic… I’ve always wanted to comment on what beautiful skin you have, like you’ve been smart enough to stay out of the sun. It just shows how sensitive our skin still is with or without sun. Sending good wishes your way.
@AvanteAvenue4 ай бұрын
Well, thank you. I am just a shocked because I don’t get a lot of sun. I wear a large visor and tanned “very little” in my teens and early 20s. I just wasn’t a sunbather. As to my freckles, I’ve had them since I was little. This spot showed up a few months ago just under my eyebrow. I found that very strange too. I’m still waiting the biopsy results. Thank you!
@lovemytreasure3 ай бұрын
I enjoyed this style of video a great deal! I work part-time for an estate sale company here in the Atlanta suburbs, so I know only too well about the furniture drop over the railing😂. It’s not for the faint of heart! Cutco products are highly sought after here, too, and fetch a lot of money on 1/2 price day😉. Now regarding your biopsy, I have had a bunch of basal cell spots excised the last 4 years, with two more scheduled in June. My first was a spot on my eyebrow. If it turns out your spot is positive, please make sure the dermatologist explains how they remove it (probably Mohs). I didn’t ask for an explanation and you can guess the rest….. Praying your biopsy is clear!
@AvanteAvenue3 ай бұрын
Too funny about the furniture drop! As to my biopsy, she didn’t mention mohs (I’ve learned about it since). As you can imagine, she left a “hole” under my eyebrow!!! No warning on how much she was taking to biopsy. I was shocked!!! Thank you Clarissa!

Prayers and best wishes for good news from your biopsy. ❤ I liked this video format because it's exactly how sourcing is done day in and day out. Sometimes, no matter how hard you look, there is very little or in my case when I visited a Goodwill recently, the prices were irrelevant and I left empty-handed; there wasn't anything I wanted to purchase! The overpricing of goods in a situation like aways befuddles me. 🤔 So much stuff! If I were the seller there, l would have been dying to get those things out the door... making bundle deals and serving up some hot coffee. 😂
@AvanteAvenue3 ай бұрын
Thank you...still waiting results. Yes, this video is the "reality" of resourcing. Sometimes we find great things and sometimes we find nothing. We left a LOT of sales this past weekend where we purchased nothing. There was one decent sale out of many that we shopped. Yes, on overpricing. We went to an estate sale and the 1/2 price was what the price should have been to begin with. They did the homeowner a disservice by pricing too high. I saw a few things but I wasn't paying their 1/2 price...price! Thank you!

hahaha oh its Oak Island. I watch that show and would probably react the same way. Prayers for a good report. we went through that with my husband not terribly long ago.

We’ve been watching it for years! Mark enjoys it, but often falls asleep to it! I enjoy some of the episodes, but not all because it’s so repetitive in the information each time. I so wish they would find something! I think they will eventually. Someone else said, I hope they find something in my lifetime. Lol. Thanks, Beverly!

I just started watching your videos a few weeks ago. You two seem like you make a great team. I liked this version because it was interesting to see what items you pick up and look at compared to what items I would have looked at. I always told my sister I don't mind going to sales even late in the day because what you are looking for isn't always what everyone is. The first sale was awful, it looked dirty and the prices were unbelievable. I don't think they should give everything away cheap but the whole point is to sell the stuff.
@AvanteAvenue4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, the first sale was overpriced for the condition (and smell). Glad you like it!
