No, but when I watched the video back I realized that I should have looked at them closer. I do think they were vintage. WooHoo for your sale of one!

You guys are inspiring! Love at first sight! ❤ I want to start reselling but not enough to have a store. I'm differently abled (a.k.a. disabled < I despise that word) at 63 and on SSD. I am a little afraid to start Ebay selling as to not get embedded too deep. To make things a bit worse is that I have worked at a thrift Shop for the last 13 years and have never left after a shift withOUT purchasing something unique, interesting, pretty or vintage with my 25% discount of course. Its time to think about not working as it has started to become physically challenging. The income from reselling would take the place of my employment income or at least some of it. What would you suggest? 😀
@AvanteAvenue5 күн бұрын
Him. What would I suggest? I suggest you get your feet wet and start reselling before you leave your current job. There’s a lot to learn and that takes time. Although it appears you do not want to trade one job for another, if you want to make money, as in anything, it’s going to take some time and effort. Reselling on eBay has enabled me save my Social Security check. I can’t imagine not having the Ebay income. My best advice is start now. Even if it’s just one or two things a week. Start and be consistent with whatever you can list every week. Hope that helps and thank you!

You find some great stuff. You need a booth at an antique store. I'm yelling. I want the candle sticks for my booth. I need the bird picture you showed at 33.00 minutes. And the needle point. ❤
@AvanteAvenue5 күн бұрын
I've had booth spaces before. Several in fact. I've always done better on ebay than in the booths. So many "antique malls" have closed in our area that all the booths are pretty much taken (at least the good ones). Thanks!

Great sale! You asked if there was anything you might have picked that you missed --maybe wooden accordion mug racks? And I spotted two chrome fry pans. There is a particular brand that doesn't look like much to me but worth good money. You were there so you might have seen quality of both with just a glance that couldn't be seen by me. Those light covers are great. I got similar last year (about a doz) and put them on my mini-lights. They were so pretty they outshone my ornaments!

I share lots of tips and this Boot Camp has helped us tremendously with our listing efforts. Thank you!

Thank you for the informative video, would never have known fifth Avenue Crystal was made in Poland, a little shocked at how much they produce each year and the variety is mind boggling. If there is no label, it would be quite difficult to identify. Some of their smaller colored candle holders looked like Glassybaby.

Do you ever use "Fragile" stickers when shipping breakable items?
@AvanteAvenue11 күн бұрын
Always. It’s not for the carrier. We can’t control with the carrier does but we must certainly want to let the buyer know that we did our best to alert them that it is fragile. So the fragile sticker is for the buyer more than the carrier. Hope that helps and thank you!

Do you factor in the cost of the bubble wrap into your pricing? That's what puts me off breakables - the amount of bubblewrap/supplies you have to use.
@AvanteAvenue11 күн бұрын
Because we buy in bulk for our packing supplies, the cost really isn’t that much. I estimate $2 average for large packages that require a lot of Bubble Wrap. You may not be aware, but we have our own air pillow machine. It was a great investment. hope that helps and thank you!
