Okay, when I'm able to purchase a saw, drill, nails, and the other tools. Then I'll get the material needed for the actual project(s). Then, get around to it when I have the time, energy, and space to do this. Looks amazing. 👍

Once you get started you will find project after project. Building things is addictive. And you can build things the way you want them. I drive my poor husband crazy sometimes. He bought me my first miter saw as a joke about 20 years ago.He thought I would exchange it. Claims he created a monster. The miter still works, but I am on my second table saw and 4th sander. One of my drills just gave out as well. Well used. Right now I am building a greenhouse using mostly old pallets. Two dollars each. Needed to buy some longer lumber for framing and roof and the plastic of course. It is long and narrow and the back is the wall for the carport. Promised my husband I would build walls for it. The old flooring I replaced with tile last spring is being used to help weatherproof that wall. I even included outside herb garden gardens on the outside front. The entire cost will be under 400. Just need to finish off the plastic on one end and do the door. Weather has not been helpful. A greenhouse that size in our area is well over a thousand. And even then they don't have floors. Between replacing the kitchen and dining room floors I build an old world wine making table. 4 by 4 legs. I use glass, not plastic, making wine, so heavy when full. A 60 inch bit of counter with a torti pattern for the top. 60 dollars as it was an end. Another 20 to have the ends finished. Under 200 altogether, but several people could standon it easy. Shelf underneath to hold supplies. Also room for the coffee pot and dehydrator. I also put a wooden ceiling in in our half bathroom. Found it in the crawl space. Leftbover from whoever did the main floor ceilings. Only 4 years in this house, so still finding things. That took a day with repainting as well. I had a panty, but it was very deep, with deep shelves. Could never find snatching. Under the stairs was the cleaning closet. I pulled the shelves out of the panty and made it the cleaning closet. Works perfect. Then I built long shelves under the stairs making a walk in panty were I can store twice as much and see everything at a glance. I promised my husband I would do a storage building as the wall on the other side of the carport next spring and build something nicer for storing the wood for the stove. So you see, you will always have lots of projects to do and even though the tools are an investment, in the end you will save money and you get exactly what you want.

The closet bench, left me scratching my head. Aesthetically it doesn’t look all that great, and wouldn’t a toy box do the same job? Also, I’d rather have doors on my closet, as it still looks like a closet. Hmm🤔

Hi…love your door ideas. If you don’t mind, I have a quick question about my bathroom vanity doors. I want to paint it because it is a shiny, builders oak finish. The drawers are flat faced but the two doors to the under sink area have a decorative groove…which really dates the piece. What can I use to fill this groove and should I do it in layers so it dries better? The groove is quite deep. I had even thought about taking the doors off and flipping them over so the groove is inside the cabinet. But that seems like a lot of extra work. I would appreciate any comment from you! Thank you!

I am just reading comments..(not the lady on video)..if it were me re your project, I would fill that gap best as I could with spackle. Doing alittle at a time isn't really necessary. I would use a small heater to expedite the drying time.. After you have leveled it off, n it's completely dried, comes the sanding, n once sanded, use a primer (IF USING A WATER BASED PRIMER, FOLLOW WITH PAINT), THEN USE "MINIWAX" POLYURETHANE TO PROTECT THE DOOR N DRAWERS. IF YOU DONT WANT TO BUY SOME MUCH, I HEARD WALMART CARRIES THIS PAINT THAT CONTAINS PRIMER N PAINT, VERY POPULAR ON APPS. HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THE OTHER PAINT STORES ARE CARRYING SOMETHING SIMILAR TOO NOW. I HOPE THIS HELPS. I CANT BELIEVE SHE DIDNT RESPOND TO YOU.
