She says she loves me She says she loves me So she clings to me, even when I want to be left alone But shes beautiful Like sometimes when I have things on my mind Shes the perfect Person to listen And she only gives advice She says she loves me Like when I wake up in the morning Shes sitting on the edge of the bed with a plate of food Wanting to feed me She says she needs me She says she loves me Or like when I'm stepping out of the shower She's standing there with the towel wanting to, wanting to dry me off She says she loves me So she clings to me even when I want to be left alone And sometimes I lose control, and I hit her And she forgives me Because she says she loves me Even when the neighbors calling the cops She's yelling, screaming "no, stop!" "I fell in the shower, I tripped and hurt myself" She says she loves me Or like when her mother tells her to get the restraining order She's telling her mother that I didn't do nothing wrong That she made me mad She says she loves me Because she's afraid to admit that i'm evil She's afraid to admit that I hurt her See if she would admit it She would have to admit that she has made another dag-gone mistake Like having four children by four different men About being 30 years old and not being able to read So instead of admitting that She has made another mistake She stays with me She says she loves me and I don't know about love See I was born in an orphanage where the people around me all they wanted to do was get away So when she says she loves me I feel something that I can't explain That I cannot name So if she says she loves me I say I love you too She says she loves me Like when I lost my job , trying already hard Trying to arrange this family of six I hate this And when I walk in the house I just tell her Just let me be Let me get some rest and maybe later we can talk But she tells me I have things on my mind and I need someone when shes there to listen And when I try to walk away She keeps on following me And so when I walk in the bed room and I try to close the door She holds it, and I lose control And I hit her and I hit her again, and I hit her again Right into the living room Out into the streets for all eyes to see And ain't none of you stopping me But I was showing rage, almost like being dazed And I kept on hitting her and I kept on hitting her When her body hits the ground My feet begin to pound against her flesh And the only reason that I stop Is because my hand hurt And now when I look at my fists I can't really say whose blood is this? But by then the rage began to fade And I begin to see clear That something is wrong, something ain't right My baby's convulsing, she's not breathing right So I kneel down beside her I wish I could crawl up inside her and heal all the pain that I caused Because see I know that this is my fault And she wanted to reach for me but she was just too weak But she managed to mumble "she loves me" She says she loves me And she has loved me until death did us apart But in 2006 47 pregnant women were beaten, shot, stabbed, smothered, and driven off a cliff And the last suspect was their ex-husbands, husbands, ex- boyfriends, boyfriends, and significant others And the point of this story is If you in a relationship and you`re being hurt You gotta get out of that relationship Before this story ends up being your story She says she loves me

I Always come back to this.. This hits in a place i cant really explain, but being in a relationship with someone you love who hurts you almost to the point where it kills you, having to build up the strength to leave that person is a hard real life experience. Never hold on to anything longer than you are supposed to because what you dont kill is going to end up killing you. 💜 those who have passed because of D.V may you rest peacefully..💜

@@LamontCarey OMG 😲 what a honour, your inspiration brought me here... it definitely helped me 2 self reflect a lot, confusion is this generation best friend... Unfortunately self sabotage happens a lot in relationships, I definitely need 2 make wiser decisions and open up 2 a deserving party. When someone shows vulnerability and genuine interest, the person is seen as corny don't know why but I need 2 stop judging those who just want a chance on happiness... Thank you for your response i appreciate you

@@LamontCarey I'm very comfortable with me, omg it is worrying because I have 2 learn 2 share my space... That's where my problem lies, living with another is a mystery: coexisting, co-operating and compromise. Knowing that will become monotonous, hopefully I will adapt 2 the idea.
@lamontcarey4266

@@LaaDiosaa the negotiations start internally. What you want compared to who you are. You have probably lived a large portion of your life with a guardian. You have to figure out why living with someone that you plan to spend the rest of your life with so claustrophobic. What adjustments have to be made internally for this to work. Maybe alone space within the house. I used to believe that I would lose my independence. I had to learn that I wasn’t losing me. I had to learn and understand both people need personal experiences and time even in relationships. I think you will find what works for you because you are processing the idea.

I think the only way we can reconcile the damage of domestic violence is to speak openly about it. To try and understand how it manifest itself. So it takes difficult dialogue like his. Listening & evaluating what he has to say does not mean you agree with it. It means you have the courage to participate in a back in fourth, in order to both parties to come out with more knowledge.
