I was christened as a baby, received my First Holy Communion and was confirmed at St. Rose of Lima parish. Besides this, my family really did not understand or live the Faith, and I fell for every trick in the enemy’s book, ultimately coming to a near- suicide conversion on August 23, 2004, saying, “Jesus, if you are really real, take over my life or let me die.” I received supernatural faith and an illumination of conscience. I didn’t know for a while because I was going to an evangelical church at first, but I was led dynamically back to the Church, and I came to realize that the date on which I had this conversion was the Feast Day of my Patron Saint, St. Rose of Lima. She made sure I knew that the Catholic Church was where I needed to be. ❤
