I am SOOO HAPPY for you, Danielle! You are going to really enjoy having all off your project supplies in one place, and be able to work on them inside or outside as needed (without having to haul everything through the house). Having a roof over the doors, (eventually) will improve your situation greatly!! How exciting! Of course, you already know that your shed is NOT the place for things that will get damaged by extreme temperature changes (paints, waxes, candles, glosses, sprays, adhesives, tapes, plastics, etc.)! Be sure you make a table surface or countertop that can be covered somehow (perhaps even make it pull down or flip over) so you don't have to scrub it every time you go to use it! Cover your chair/stool, too! Gather and/or mount your tools so they're in a convenient spot. Leave empty spaces ready to hang up/receive your "inside" supply caddies. Keep an umbrella, large plastic bags, a good shoe-wiping mat, a sweater, a fan/heater, a ladder, a fly swatter, and a broom near the door so you'll be ready for ANYTHING, girl! Oh, the things you will do!! You MAY even wish that you had gotten a shed TWICE as big as this one!!! 😃 HAVE FUN!!!

After reading the other comments, I see that you are planning to use this shed more for storage than making things, however you may still need a table so you can open your bins and pick out whatever you need, or when you are repacking bins, etc. Still so excited for you!

Looks great. I use the xxl bags from the dollar tree to put my wreaths in , they have handles on them and zip shut. I hang them from a shower curtain rod and use shower curtain hooks that close to hang them up...works great. I would love to have a space like that to keep things organized...just love it.

Good morning, Danielle. We just got a 10x16 lofted for holiday decor. I recommend insulting the walls. I used an R-11. We're going to use foam sheet insulation for up in the loft making it easier to cut the angles in the peaks. The Asian Beetles (lady bugs) will still get in those bags. Hang sticky fly traps. Also, if you put granuals on the ground for fleas/ ticks/ etc. in the spring, you'll have less beatles. They come from the ground. I used Sevin this year so the granddaughters didn't hasve to deal with the seed ticks and didn't have hardly any of the beetles this year. Can't wait to see everything in place! Creative Blessings!

I like you conduit rod. I hang my wreaths also. I use the XXL zip lock bags from DT. Fits the wreaths I make with the DT 14in wreath forms.

I use cheap dryer sheets to put in everything it keeps bugs and mice out and when you oprn no musty smells

I live in Florida and moisture and snakes are our problem. We use the little bags of moth balls from the dollar tree. We cut a couple of slits in them and place them around the floor boards. No bugs, no snakes.

I think it’s a great space! I think the only thing I would do would be to add some paint and maybe some pegboard to hang up small items or tools. I just built my own shed and I’m having a wonderful time painting and decorating the inside and still keeping it practical. Enjoy it looks great!

Your video came at a perfect time for me!!! I was just out in my shed the other day looking for ways to store my many bins of holiday home decor. My problem is what to do with the propane grill, bicycle, lawn mower, flower pots and assorted other gardening tools. You gave me the needed motivation to make it work and figure it out! I know I will be so much happier once it is more organized and out of the closets in my guest bedrooms. Danielle, I love your she shed! It's so nice to have everything in one place and so organized. Dollar Tree sells plastic storage bags that are just as good as the Ziploc brand. I used them to hang my wreaths using S hooks. If you want to try them, be sure to get XXL bags. I'm looking forward to seeing your window boxes. Love it Danielle. You may have just fixed a HUGE dilemma my husband and I are having. We're moving out of state because of his job. We thought we were going to down size but having a problem of getting rid of almost any of my craft supplies. I think you and I have the same amt or I have a few more because I'm about your mom's age! .Anyway, the state we're moving to has very few homes on the market like what want to buy, If any at all. It's just been awful because he's there and I'm still here, but we were going to be one bedroom short. 4 bedroom homes range in the $500k and up and I don't want a one that big of that expensive if we don't have to.. So a foo-foo she=she shed similar to yours would save our day. We will buy a bedroom. We need a bedroom for us, a guest room and a office..m.mklkll I just will have to get a window air conditioner here for the hot 100+ days and we have a portable heater for winter. I CAN'T WAIT to show him your video. Woo hoo, now I can put my house on the market here and he and we can live in a rented place for 3 to 6 months ( his new job will pay for the storage.) until we find out "perfect and last house!" I just got a she shed two months ago!!! Love LOVE it. I have a window unit in one of the windows and a small space heater at the moments. A very small loft and its a 10x20 with a front porch and a house door and a metal roof. I love Danielle's also!!!! We ladies deserve our own little crafting space!!!!!!!!!!!😉

Yep, the big cabinet with all the storage. It's great! My husband is a contractor and is going to build my daughter one. I decided to NOT wait so I ordered mine. LoL I also vacuum up the beetles and toss them out 😞 but I found the spray last year, seem to lessen them. Suppose to cover their scent and keep them from returning. I have way less this year. Hope it works for you. As for wasp 😠 it's a constant battle.

I love your shed. I know the feeling of having that extra space that is just yours to store your decor items. I have had one for over 20 years. I also use it for crafting and painting the messier projects. I have a work table and comfy desk chair with wheels. I like to craft in there in the mild weather with the door open. I thoroughly have enjoyed mine. It is 12 x 20 and is sectioned off by a wall. My space isn't very big, just 12 x 8, but I make it work. The other section is for other needed storage items for our home and tools, etc..

Also, maybe you should poke a few tiny, tiny holes in the plastic for air circulation. Everything looks great. I love that little extension piece for the drill. Awesome!!! An idea to pretty it up, paint (with a sprayer) all the insides white and add black and white checkerboard vinyl flooring.( I put it down in my out building it's so much easier to clean and looks nice too.) A lovely area rug as you enter would look good. All matching totes (red or grey) would be nice, but expensive to change out. Have fun!

That's wonderful I want one so bad. I have a small one but my husband has taken it over. Every thing he takes out of it he sits it right inside the door and I have to climb over his stuff to get in to the durn thing. I told him I want it insulated and power hooked up to it. I plan on putting a window unit in so I can work on making wreaths and crafts. He want be able to set one foot in side it. I have my own tools also and he's not allowed to touch them because he misplaces his all the time. So happy for you!

Maybe you could install shelves that go all the way across the back (or part way), just enough height to slide your bins into side by side, but when you want that bin on the bottom you don't have to take off all the ones on top tp get to it. I keep telling the hubs I need a she shed. I think getting things out of the house is an added bonus. Can you let us know if they get real hot inside in the Summer?

Awe. So cute. For wasp and lady bugs. Get the foam seal put it around the doors. Make sure they are tight. I did that to my shed I hardly get spiders. You can also use glue traps.

I love the way you decorated your She Shed. The loft is wonderful until you get OLD and can't get to it any more. That is where we are now and we will have to pay someone to come and get the stuff down for us. I would not even worry about it but all our friends are passing away and we don't know if this will be our last Christmas. I have so many outside decorations and feel like I would love to have them out for one more year. Wish us luck on finding someone to help get that stuff down.

I don’t think I would change anything. It is what it is- storage. Maybe adding a table to work from would be helpful when sorting through boxes. I covet a storage area like this. Wonderful!

Yay!! I'm so happy for you Danielle! I have been storing my wreaths in my shed as well but not as efficient as you. I put nails in the 2x4's and hung them in black plastic bags. Like you I live in the country and the lady bugs and wasp's are horrible!! I will be looking for some conduit and clear plastic bags now. Thanks for the idea!! I wish I had the whole shed to store my stuff but I have to share with the lawnmower and garden tools. 😥 Oh well, it's better than nothing! 😁
