This is not part of Islam, it's just the mothers who were circumcised previously repeating it on their own daughters without seeking knowledge.

This has nothing to do with Islam it’s cultural. The woman even said they are not educated or versed in the Quran. No where in the Quran is this mentioned. It’s a cultural practice not religious!
