My mother's older sister lived in Live Oak, CA years ago on a commercial kiwi farm. It was probably in the 80's. Mom asked her to send us some kiwi and by golly, a couple of weeks later a tractor trailer delivered a skid of kiwi. They were huge! At least twice the size of anything we had seen in a grocery here in Missouri. She called and apologized for sending #2 kiwi instead of the best ones!! At the time, most people around here even knew what kiwis were...but we did, and we sure enjoyed those kiwis!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

I remember hearing Brooke say she loves the summer, the hotter the better when she lived on the original Cog Hill. I guess all the tree coverage on the original Cog Hill kept the heat lower and now with nearly no trees on the 40 she is feeling the full effect.

There was a chicken in a video recently that looked at you when you said its name. It might have been Roomba. I have several that all know their names, and they will stop and come to Ya when you say it to them. They also recognize people & other pets. Mine will alert loud when someone or something new is coming near them but doesn't carry on when it's Me or my little dog who thinks the chickens are her babies. lol. They also come to me for a snuggle once in a while.

You could save yourself some work by just partially moving the fence for Moody. Try a 90° move to the right of the first pasture fence over to the 2nd pasture. It should now come past the shelter and include it in the first pasture (makes it a bit bigger) with no access to the rest of the second pasture. Good luck

I missed the live but I watch when I can catch up. Glad you all are chipper and up to snuff again. We are happy to see rain here in FL. In 1998 we had a drought and the whole State caught on fire. There were places burning everywhere. People with breathing problems were told to stay indoors. Be glad you live on a hill so you don't get swamped out. I think I have your grass too. Nothing kills it. Thick and lush no matter what. Love your casts.

Talking about Moody getting in the road, lawd don't let it happen. I grew up hearing the story of my grandparents and all their children hitting a cow. It came into the windshield. Other than bumps and bruises everyone was alright except the car and the cow. This must have been a tank of a car because I'm 65 now. Cars used to be metal everywhere.

If you want more figs they will grow from the seeds in the fruit or a branch they are easy my first one grew from birds by itself and next one from a branch. I have some plants at my front garden that are tropical and was given it out of a glass house didn’t know what to do with it just planted in a damp spot, because knew it was tropical every time the children had bananas threw the skins around it and it took off and that is all I feed it and one time a peach seed was amongst the peels and the kids put all on it the next year the peach tree grew and two years later we had peaches it loved the banana skins as well.

Jason and Brook, I lived in Wichita, Kansas for 25 years almost and We had 2 gardens starting in late February for the first one, and early to mid July for the Second one. I had 2 cups of tomatoes, two cloves of beans and in the second one the beans were pole beans as well as bush beans, okra, kale both times, lettuce the second time because it did better the first time it just burns up if I planted it in the spring because we had such hot summers in Wichita, and neither my son, nor normal little boy could tolerate it outside until evening… And we would plant all kinds of carrots and The boys love to plant okra because it got taller than they were but it was very hard to get it out at the end of the fall… It was like a tree trunk at the end of the season… They like planning little red potatoes for themselves and little pumpkins for themselves and the garden was a lot of fun for us but I like to dehydrate the food and the kids love to eat it. I invested in a very expensive dehydrator and they would eat of course the bananas in the apples, & Even the kale if I put a little EVOO on it with some salt and this was long before Sea salt was cool…So I just had a little clear dish like the chefs on TV and I put my salt and it was a pepper mix it together and let the boys and even my little two-year-old girl, stir it together and they Thought it tasted like potato chips when it came out of the dehydrator. And you are a good relative/friend came and tasted the Green kale The children were so excited to have them try a bite of… and as quickly as they put it in their mouth they were spitting it out and making inappropriate sounds and childish actions. I was very disgusted with the adult and the children were very upset And Hurt, and from that point on, They would not eat dehydrated food anymore !! NEVER❣️❣️😂😂😂

Where on the second level do you plan on putting the TV? Will the light from the windows interfere with the viewing? What about putting a black curtain on the walls and window? That way, when you needed light up there, you would pull the curtains back and have light. Might be hard to do any kind of work up there with all that darkness. I’ve dealt with dark walls and all the ceiling light or table lamps didn’t shed much light on the situation. (Forgive the pun.) Will you be getting any meat chickens? Probably too late for this year, but in the future?

Sorry. I missed the live stream. The movie theater being black is really good judgment to make your spaces fit your needs. This snake keeps getting bigger. Next thing you know, it will be able to shade a team of Belgian draft horses in its shadow at high noon! Jason...you were cracking me up with "long in the break"! I have Mama, Half (she only has half a comb), and Glenda the murder chicken who are all at least 4. Glenda may be 5 or 6. My other girls are headed towards 3. I can't hardly think on culling them I am so proud of y'all going off script and starting a flower farm. Not traditional but such beauty! You deserve all the flowers. My zinnia mix is off the chain and every color.
