I find it so boringly humorous that people still have the audacity to say money makes everything work, especially when they can also name an exception which makes the first part of the statement a contradictive lie. If you can and have to list an exception to the rule, then maybe change up the statement to redefine the rule. Also, money can make the living work, just not the lazy. Money can buy a lot, but not a lasting happiness. Money is merely a tool in an imperfect economic system that had been in development over milennia called the Barter & Trade system, commonly known today as Capitalism. In this system, we have had instances of families selling daughters off for various necessities to survive, as well as other ways people have bargained for things they needed. In the last few of milennia with the rise of civilizations like Egypt, Rome, and more, money had merely been a simple tool used to set an actual value in that Barter & Trade system and a tool like that can do multiple things, but it's power is only as strong as the beheld value of the trade. If there ever was truly something that did make everything work, then when we talk about it making everything work, we would not nor should we have to name exceptions to the rule.
