American Gardens but this was such an accurate review, definitely a lesser hold than advertised and it softens up for sure throughout the day. One thing important to add (I think) is the texture really shows after it settles in, it looks really good later when it breaks for you and looks super texturized - love it

My hair likes to split in the middle when I slick back. I’m using lockhart. Which water based would you recommend to help stop my hair from splitting. Maybe blackship for the hold?

Prefer the plant vibes in the background personally. As for the product, I actually tried GG last year and although I loved the hold it was way too dry for my hair. Application was rough unless my hair was damp and it made my hair feel brittle similar to what you described.

have similar hair texture to you, and American Gardens Clay is just wayyy too tuggy for me to apply on dry hair, my hand gets stuck and hairs get attached like its glue lmaoo .... even though I love the finish. Going to try this GG one out if not ill try their Norther Lights matte paste, I need something that's pushing Matte finish but is not TOOOO tuggy when applying.

Crazy man..this does the opposite for my hair; relaxes tf outta my waves. I mention bc my hair type is pretty close to yours but more nap in my curl. For me personally, when it Does relax the curl, along with it goes any texture/body which dry creamy or dry sticky products like o’douds or arcadian mp would instantly provide on clean dry hair. Btw what’s your experience with bentonite clay? It’s the primary clay in the Ace High Blue Suede Clay. Drys the hell outta my hair so bad, makes my waves look like shit. Similar to the effect of how humidity makes jerry curls flop i guess, but for me..in the middle ground as my hair not that extreme, just a slight nap. Just thought I’d throw that ingredient out there as you mentioned the significances of certain ingredients in your recent Firsthand Clay review. I honestly based My standards on the o’douds mp ingredients carnauba wax👍 , kaolin👍, etc. but also beeswax (in others). They just get the job done with such little effort and sick results! Would be great to hear your thoughts on the bentonite clay..sick review thanks brotha✌️
