My dad had a friend who bought storage units and he made a lot of money on books. Some of the books he didn't even understand, but he got big bucks for them. Text books sold well too. Happy book selling!

Check your area for Friends of the Library sales-I sell lots of books too and get a lot of my inventory from this annual sale. Large public libraries also sometimes sell year around.

Glad you mentioned this. I have been to our local library sales but there are so many books in a very crowded area & until this video, I've not known which type of book to buy to sell. I've bought books for myself to read & then donated them back to the library to resell or to a local non-profit charity.

Damn! You’re exposing my secret favorite category! So many people sell books for next to nothing, lol. I think I’m sitting between 15-20x profit on book ms the year and it’s my top category as an everything seller.

Me too. I came up on a bulk lot of "books" at a buck each and my average per item is $46.44. top categories as well...

@@reaganxxliquid8erxx973 My best flips came from 2 places. 1st, a Storage Unit I bought had a TON of books. They were all WW2-themed war books as well as books document the color and designs of planes from that era as well. All of it went for AMAZING money. Think my best was a single book that went for nearly $500 called My Logbook by Gunther Rall. Then I also picked up a large stack of Vinyl-catalog books by the author Joel Whitburn for like $0.25 each at a garage sale and they went for $30-$50 a pop.

As a full-time Bookseller for over 12 years, I've been trying to tell Lonnie that nothing has a better roi than books. The fact they are super easy to list store and ship makes it even better.

These end of the year recaps have been great. When I started dabbling in reselling a couple years ago I was watching one of Mike's (GSP) videos and he was talking about how to price a Black's Law Dictionary. I literally found one at Goodwill a week later. Paid $2.99 sold I think for $125 in one day. I saw Mike a little while later in a store and thanked him for the advice, he's super nice. I'm not sure what they sell for now but certain editions are something to look out for. They're big heavy books you can't miss them. Books that I sell for $50 and up I usually upgrade to ground shipping to have insurance. Media mail has good rates but it makes me nervous sometimes lol.

This video will help us know what type to look for to buy. The books we made the most return on are sealed sets, but unfortunately, we've only found a few of them so far.

I will say you are definitely leaving easy money on the table if you aren't selling books on Amazon. The FBA program lets you expand your business because they pack, ship & deal with returns. I know its not glamorous to sell a book for $18, but it really adds over a month period when you've sold 100 of them plus the occasional $100+ textbook or whatever.

28:04 Was that Clementine Hunter THAT Clementine hunter? If so no wonder it went nuts. I couldn't do book sets myself, medical weight limits if I didn't want surgery for a fourth time, but I always looked for books too old to have a bar code. Library used book sales attract bar code scanners, always despised them subsituting machinery for learning, and lots of times they'd leave money on the table. I didn't!

When I first started reselling I fell for the FBA book selling videos. Now I know you can make money from it but you need a lot of books to cover the FBA fee, I worked out 400+ and those needed to be speciality books not the pulp million plus produced for pennies. I couldn't source enough to make it viable so I like you just have a select amount in my ebay store. Individual books are vintage/speciality/religious and any mass produced I bundle, ie game of thrones, harry potter bundles.

Strongly advise people go slowly into book dealing. 1) some people do this for their career including brick and mortar. It takes decades to be an expert… 2) … which is why just scanning and looking at comps is not going to be a win every time. You will miss out on nuances and history that will explain why that book you “thought was good” doesn’t sell. 3) if you are still prone to shipping charge “oopsies” and get people constantly opening issues because of poorly packed items, you need to take a look in the mirror and see if you can put in the time and effort to improve your shipping process. Condition matters. Big. Time. 4) Books can be a goldmine, but the true wealth comes from long term WORK and RESEARCH.

Hi, I've been watching y'all a long time. I sell a lot of books too. The reason I'm commenting is because I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I'd like to share a bit of education. We believe in the Bible and read the Bible. The book you sold is not our "Mormon Bible". Please do not call it that. The book you sold is what we call our "Triple Combination" and are our other scriptures. This isn't the place for religious discussion, just want to clarify in case you were not aware.
