I recently had a buyer that was sending me a best offer for an item that I had listed for $25.00 free ship. This item is worth more than I am selling them for and was only listed for about a week. I had very many views on this item. I didn’t accept his first offer since it was only $12. Everyday he placed a bid for $1 more than the first day. This went n for 3 days. I counter offered at $25. I know this item is worth much more but since it was only a week listed I just wasn’t going to just give it away! The buyer was not happy that I wouldn’t sell it to them at half off. It’s hard to not let his nasty message get to me but seriously, it’s my item and I have a right to not sell it at a discount. It gets frustrating sometimes. You were lucky. Many years ago now, back in the mid 1970s, I woke up one morning, about 4 am, hearing the sound of rushing water. It was 45 degrees below zero up here in Wisconsin, with a 90 below wind chill. Not only did I have to wade through thigh high water to get to my meter to turn off the water, I had to go back upstairs, dry off, put on winter clothes, and walk two blocks to the nearest pay phone to call the fire department to get them to come with their pumper truck to pump out my water from the basement as it was vital to get that water out before it froze solid. It was so cold, the water froze in mid air as it came out of the fire hose. My back yard had wonderful ice sculptures for a couple of days until it warmed up again. Thank God, my 50 year old furnace started right up as soon as the water was out. A part rusted and quiit, but waited until it warmed up to do that and the furnace guy came the same day to fix it. I lost stuff, yes, but most everything was up on higher shelves. The hardest thing to lose was my 13 copies of an underground newspaper that my brother and I had run in the summer of 1971. We had really turned our little town of Augusta Wisconsin upside down with that Newspaper, getting written up in the big city newspapers of Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis, as well as exceeding the distribution numbers of our local small town newspaper by the end of our 13 week season.

I sent out a vintage coke print ad in a large envelope with cardboard reinforcement to Georgia. For some reason it went to Puerto Rico. Tracking shows it should be delivered today to Georgia. Glad they didn’t want it for Christmas. Ugh😮

That has happened to me twice. One item going to Colorado and the other to Indiana, both went to Puerto Rico. They made it to their right destination about 10 days later. I kept the customers informed, they didn't complain.

Had a package destined for Puerto Rico. Left Texas..went to 2 Fla hubs,then San Jose ,Ca.then Indianapolis and stopped. Finally made it toP.R. 32 days later. Buyer had filed and I had issued refund. Contacted Ebay after item was delivered. They refunded my money. Thank you Ebay. (25 year seller).USPS a mess!!

Yes that happened to me too! Item went out then came back to my city then back out and here and there… took 20days to get delivered. I refunded their money about 15 days out… buyer didn’t ask for it but they shouldn’t have to put up with that and neither should we. Oh well. 🤷‍♀️

had a guy buy something on Nov 28th, it finally got to them dec 21st. someone else had a two week wait also. Both buyers were nice i explained that the post office and the hubs are all ran by different people so sometimes they run well while others are just not good with volume. thanksfully everything made it to all buyers so far

Unless you’re a collector of certain things, I don’t understand why people lose their minds over packaging. So what if it doesn’t have a box so what if it doesn’t have a tag. That’s why I like Lori Tatas videos. She thrift and huge bags for her three kids for Christmas. The kids knew it. The kids love it and they’re not young ones either they’re older kids. I think your water damage video obviously was a real wake-up call to a lot of folks, resellers or non alike. Mercari has become a big mess. I had 1 sale the other day, first since Halloween! Before that it was slow but steady. Poshmark took a big dive when they did their buyer fee disaster.

I shipped an item to Colorado Springs via Jacksonville to Miami back to Alabama then to Aurora CO. Wish I could travel that cheap. Also had an item supposed to go to Washington state and went to Hawaii.

My Go 2 Tape (because why not). I once had somebody think "I need to clean up" and THROW OUT active eBay auction items. Didn't ask me first. Fortunately I was able to retrieve them undamaged since the trash hadn't gone out, and they didn't sell ultimately, but can I ever relate. Panic sets in.

I had an eBay purchase stopped in Indianapolis for well over a week. I finally asked the seller to file a missing mail form with USPS. After about another week, the package finally moved. Unfortunately, the delay cost me the opportunity to resell the items at the event that I attended.

I had my first damage a few weeks ago. As soon as I sent out a replacement for the two damaged pieces (China settings), she rated me well. She didn't even wait until the replacements arrived. Thankfully, they arrived alright and she let me know. I think as long as you give good customer service, most people understand things happen. Some people won't be satisfied no matter how well you provide service to them.

Our basement has flooded so many times. One year it was the people next-door left their irrigation on that got in that room then somebody’s washing machine water ended up in our basement because there was a plug in the city line and thin one time or maybe more than that I think two or three times the tree roots grew into our System, plugged it up so we had a back up down there. I can’t even count how many times and how much mess we’ve had. One time my husband had water going in the garden ( potatoes)beside the house and we were leaving for my birthday dinner and I said is all the water off and he said don’t worry about it and I said I’m just making sure that we turned off all the water and he said it’s not your problem. Don’t worry about it. We came back and my brothers room that he was staying in had flooded because he did not turn the water off in the garden. So whenever he yells at me about some thing, all I have to do is say the word potato.

I ordered an advent calendar on December 10th and it was suppose to arrive by December 16th. To date (December 28th) still has not arrived. Was in Texas for awhile then Arizona. I live in California. The seller said it was shipped therefore no longer in her hands.

So I sold a big mouth bass that sings on Nov 8, the guy gave the wrong address and the bass went to that address in GA and instead of coming back to Texas it went to Indiana and from there to Illinois and then it went to San Antonio and then it went back to Illinois, and then it went back to San Antonio and the USPS said that it was delivered to the address, I live in the country and when I went to go to town it was at my house. So the guy sent me another address shipped it again to GA, it went to that address undeliverable and then shipped back to San Antonio and then again tracking said it was delivered to that address in GA, however nope it was back at my gate. So I message the customer again and told him he gave me the original address and added the guys full name and so I mailed it again to GA, and it arrived at the address on December the 15th. I told the customer that bass was swimming around the country. Crazy to me that you would return a package that was sent to GA to Indiana the Illinois?? The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. All's I can say is DELIVER ME!!!!

Hey Hey... Long time watcher, first time commenting. Just finished watching this one and I closed out before realizing that maybe YOU can answer this for me.. I have some old stock from my 1st online business😢 its a bunch of 13oz Glass Mugs w/lid. I created the logo design myself. At any rate, my Question to you is could you please suggest a few resell platforms where I can finally sell the last bit of this stock off. I have less than 40 mugs left, I think...haven't inventoried them in a year or more. I use to have an eBay acct, so Please don't suggest it😊😅... but maybe some of these newer sites....I've also tried esty, but they won't accept the card I use for payments and security like other platforms I'm on do.... Hi, I was wondering if you could help me with auto checkout on ebay. Who sets this, the buyer or seller? I was trying to buy multiple items from one seller ending at different times. The auto checkout seems to be set at 2 hrs after the auction ends. I asked the seller about it and they said to turn off auto checkout, however I don't see it in my settings. Hence, is this set on the sellers side or buyers? I was under the impression that it was the seller but I tried making a dummy item to sell and don't see auto checkout there either.

The post office has really gone down hill with package delivery. They don't have the bandwith or logistics they need to handle the influx of e-commerce. In Minnesota, my local carrier will scan all items when she hits my neighborhood. So the are scanned delievered before they actually are. When I inquired, the PO Manager says she does that for efficiency. I guess that's better than some who I hear ditch packages at the roadside.

Original CEO and owner will bring Mecari back. My sales have been up since November. Lots of customers putting "likes" on items. Perhaps in anticipation of the fee changes on Jan. 6th. I have hope that it will improve. However, will not be the same as before. All reselling has taken a hit. Etsy is down 70%, Poshmark lower sales, etc. So I don't expect Mecari will be exactly as before. But I'm ok with few sales a day that I'm getting right now.
