As a lifelong Blazers fan watching these guys in my late teens and hearing stories of that era is nostalgia that is always welcome. Thanks, gentleman.

Ant using fatigue as an excuse is weak. Mavs did have one more day of rest between games but Dallas had played one more playoff game so far before game 1. Mavs in 6

Luka hobbling can't even using his slow step in the lane 20 something from the 3 and they are STILL winning even with constant rotations from kidd looking for match ups, they are going to beat the shit out of this team

Hard to compare 2000s and 2020s. The 3 point era has an advantage.

It’s not hard to compare. Dallas won making 6 threes and dominating the paint, so 2000’s play style can win today

Why does everybody switch nowadays? Sometimes they even switch before the screen is set! Ion get it.
@hittkid63125 ай бұрын
Speed of the ball handler, or sometimes the 3pt threat. also pre-switching lessens the confusion and makes sure everyone is covered. Ofcourse problem starts when the one who switched can't keep the ball handler infront of him
@donsolo1235 ай бұрын
@@hittkid6312 Then a true man to man defense doesnt exist in today’s game. The defense is manipulated into giving the offense the matchups they want. U got 6 foot guards settin picks at half court and gettin the switch. Everybody should just stay with their man unless the switch is necessary.
@hittkid63125 ай бұрын
@@donsolo123 definitely the pick and roll is designed to kill the man-to-man. If the defenders tries to stick to their man during a pick and roll then it gives the ball handler the space to either hit a 3 or if he is fast enough to run to the basket. Now some bigs would hedge or show to stop the drive or the 3, while the trailing defender goes under the pick, but this allows the ball handler to turn to the other side while the pick resets so now there is a wide open lane. If the trailing defender goes over then he is now stuck behind the ball handler, if the defending big goes level to stop the ball handler now the guy setting the pick has a wide open lob. Seriously if you are up against an elite guard, the pick and roll is a pick your poison situation for the defenders. This is why players like Bam, Draymond and Giannis are so awesome to have cause they are big players that can defend so many positions.

@@hittkid6312wolves specifically run drop coverage, which means that there’s no third defender tagging the roll man. Basically, it stays man coverage 2 on 2 but you say how much Luka tore up Rudy on that action. He takes a step back to take away the lob the roll man and it’s a super high percentage midrange or floater for Luka. If Rudy steps up to contest, it’s lob city for Dallas.

Draymond doesn’t want to hear it but the Bulls with Rodman and Kukoc would’ve been even worse than the Lakers. You think Klay versus Kobe is a mismatch? Michael’s going for 50 per game. And I would’ve paid money to watch Curry matchup with Steve Kerr who everyone forgets was a higher percentage three-point shooter .
