Sheena = GENIUS. To walk through her catalogues and the triumphs that they represent would take days. But it is not possible to do this without paying tribute to her bands... rarely do you see a single artist put together such balanced bands full of incredible artists (helps they are all incredibly masterful at playing, writing, arranging, producing and performing music). You could spend days reviewing the band members of Sheena's band and Tokyo Jihen. FGS the keyboardist in Sheena's band is Masayuki Hiizumi and arguably (and incredibly) the band members get better at their craft from him... That they have lasted so long (or did) is a reflection of the comfort and growth they all found in the diverse music that they contributed to. Sheena = GENIUS.

Ringo has an unmatched skill set and to my mind is the most versatile female composer on the planet.

Ohhhh you are finally starting to do the review of them! Sheena Ringo and Tokyo Incident are undoubtedly one of the most brilliant and skilled singers/bands in Japan, or even in the whole of Asia. It is so nice to see you doing a review about them. Hope to watch more videos about them!

Yeah, me too! They're A PAIN IN THE ASS TO UPLOAD, though, because of the fact that their labels copyright block videos.

The title of the first song is Marunouchi Sadistics.Ringo writes lyrics for her songs. And Marunouchi is the famous business town, where big companies, like Mitsubishi or Mitusui group, HQs reside. And the lyrics goes like: My salary won't go anywhere since I started job. I love Tokyo, but nothing is there. Prosperity won't last forever. I want to be a girlfriend for a boy who works at Pizza resaurant. I want to be a monk someday in the future and get merried. Then, I just play with night gowns. Smell of the Marshall brings me to the high every night. Anyway, I'll take last train and go home. Her world she writes is always smell like decadant and kind of erotic, but still remains class. I love her songs.

I believe that's counting down to a song named Noudouteki Sanpunkan (能動的三分間; An Active Three Minutes)
@nodezsh2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, definitely. Since it stopped at -3:00. That song is fun. When they play it live it has to last exactly 3 minutes. I don't know if they have some tempo hint in some IEMs, or if they just follow the lead of the drummer who must have practiced it one million times 'till he could count three minutes mentally to the millisecond like a robot

You should tried the studio recording versions of those songs! Especially the Adult ver. of forth song (loving the guitar riffs from that version)! They are all so well mixed!

Here is the song after Shuraba: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGnYiJyHlLZogrs It's called 能動的三分間. The song ends in exactly 3 minutes. This is what they are counting down for.
