Okay so apparently crafting at the blacksmith was always 1 day. I believe the notification that your armor is done after sleeping is the change here though so it think it still got improved a bit.

As someone who has only played the definitive edition, I didn't know my little camp with bags of loot would despawn after 7 days. Lost everything. I didn't even have a tent, I just put everything near the main gate of cierzo so I didn't need to run up to the light house and I could organize my loot via bags instead of throwing everything in 1 chest. Knowing that they didn't originally to want to fuck me over makes the fact that I assumed I could do that correct, and them assholes in my eyes.

I just recently started outward ( i remember watching a ssethzeentach video on it and held back on it... And regret it) and i can see why this game has such a niche but strong community. It feels like how dragon's dogma is: where the fanbase is more niche but the game is absolutely amazing

they need 2 implement the cool animations and free movement of dragons dogma in this game!! jumping, running fast, climbing houses and climbing big monsters, sheathing weapons and 2 diffrent weapon slots for a range and melee weapon so that you can equip both a bow and a sword/dagger/mace!! and it shuld be seen on the characters back if unequiped!! and have leather straps buckles around shoulder/waist for weapon sheathing not just floaty weapon on back. And the monsters need better AI like dark souls. Oh and also PvP shuld be in the game.

Right now I've played through the Heroic K quest. "Purifier quest" I discovered the camp & finished dialog with the priest when notification came up announcing Purifier quest closed. No chance to win the glow-stone backpack, or pass message to improve Monsoon defense. I hadn't been to Monsoon before so time limit could not have run out. When I emerged from the temple to challenge the scoorge an Immaculate & one shell horror sprinted up the stairs an whacked me good time. I've just scored 4200 hours play time and missed out on the Zaggis Armour again. Boy I'd love to win that just once. Harmatten , I've completed searching the area for the first train key that you find in the abandoned living quarters. Haven't found it at all. Just now thinking give up and go and start the 3 Brothers quest, as there waiting for me to turn up.There rioting right now I do believe. Illiness , I've had them all so far. Although havn't had a cold as yet, that's different.Had quite a lot of failed scenarios, now that's been very challenging, for me.

Lol ya this is very annoying when you have been looting caves and don't want to throw away your cool loot. You can buy the house for whatever city you joint eh faction of, but its still pretty annoying until that entire quest is done.

@@SheenShots I am pretty disheartened by the game and my own shear ineptitude at this point. I am gonna vent a little now haha. I have been playing for several hours on my first true attempt and watched damn near all your vids. I have had multiple almost game ending screw ups. but this last one... idk that I can keep going. this will be a long rant... went with the blue whatever. First I had soooo much in my stash, and i put on light gear just to head out to the marsh and rush over to the city and grab my home. First screw up. So now I am stuck in Monsoon with underwhelming items and clothes and almost no stuff. Stopped at the inn and blood on the sands triggers. wondering around a bunch of other timed quests pop up so I do what I can and then I am ready to go back to berg and turn in the main quest after somehow fumbling through the giants and getting em with the blue chads.. So at this point I spent my first breakthrough at the monk. I am terrible at char builds and didn't really have one in mind but I know I wanna do guns and that blood bullet looked dope. more on that later. I get to berg and do half of the levant quest where they lower the prices. I was in berg so I let my landlord know about the giants. Wind of whatever starts. Fine. about to head to levant to finish up the other one first, it has been like a week, I am fine. I get to Levant and immediately failed blood on the sands. WHY?>> Oh because I had just turned in the main quest so it immediately failed any "outstanding" side quests. Great. Another goof. Well I have things to do in ambassor anyway so I make my way to the town and buy the alchemy glass jar thing for brand, the last piece I need and it is a hefty 2.5 grand or something, fine. Then while in town I spend every last dollar to my name and clean out the merc tree. also picked up a new cannon gun to make a horror gun. cool beans. Now then I gotta head to the immaculate cuz I have seen him twice now and only asked for one item I think? I get to him and say sup and don't take a gift just to be sure I can get the halberd on my last talk with him. I leave his place and make it back to berg to set up my guy for his gun build. set my skills and go to test em out. Huh, blood bullet won't work. I look it up. Need to have a possessed boon active, I forgot about that. No worries I will save up to buy it. How do I get it? Oh it can only be obtained as a favor from the guy I just told I didn't want anything from. The guy who now the next and last time I see him will automatically give me a weapon. I _just_ locked myself out of getting that boon. I am so done. Lost all will to continue playing. I am super bummed. I thought well I can just carry potions but what a hassle to rely exclusively on those or food. I have messed up sooooo many times and the permanent ones drain my willpower completely. idk what to do. Man I needed to vent. I am just completely crestfallen at this point. I thought about restarting another guy and following your money making gauntlet in Levant. But then I lose the last like 40 something hours I have put into this terrible character. this game. this game man.

Well I didn’t know quest are times so ya F up a bunch of quest I took to the combat Easley so that didn’t get me much. I realized that with no lvling system so I knew money would be the driving force for “lvling” that’s when I started looking up money method guide and found sheen. Look you didn’t waste 40 hours man when you start over like I did all that trial and error will be gold to you on your next run. This game was ment to be played several times so trust me you will have fun starting over like I did hell I even had most of my build done before even starting my faction. You got this man

Playing coop, we both died and lost our backpacks. I was halfway through three brothers. This was almost three years ago and I haven't been back since. also from what i have read and tried to test it no longer works. so far two things.. still new to the game. 1. storing food in your home stash no longer kees food fresh forever it rots slower than if it was on you (I think) 2, using broken tools like fishing harpoon and pickaxe no longer rcollect at 0. idk if it did b4 but when looking it up I have seen a few saying you could 5 years ago but in de it doesn't work.

The combat is very different than most games honestly. You really don't want to be the first one to attack (only for melee really) because enemies have infinite stamina and will continue beating you to a pulp unless you "counter". So blocking is super crucial so you can wait until the enemy has to wait to re attack and get a hit in. This timing is different for each enemy, but if you block long enough usually you can figure it out quickly. Another thing is the elemental damage. Every enemy has some weakness. Exploiting this with a varnish makes them 10 times easier. The biggest reason this isn't a souls-like is the stamina. It will not regen like it does in the souls games. You need to buff it before a fight and even then some heavier armor will make you use more of it. This is why each build is so unique because some skill trees can fix a lot of your stamina issues like warrior monk and mercenary. Hopefully this helps, either way it can be a pretty challenging game. Bow also makes Outward very easy btw. If you are looking for something to get through the game with.

There’s another way to make money decently fast in the early game before any major quests. You go to monsoon, stock up on gold lich mechanisms (spire is the best spot) and firefly powder. Then just collect iron swords which are cheap/ dropped frequently. Combine one of each material to make the gold lich sword for 240 buck and rinse & repeat

I think there should've just been a few more Lexicons added. Unless you didn't know about Light Mender's, people always went and grabbed that first for their Runes. I would've liked if all Liches had a Lexicon dedicated to them, but with twists to their wielder. Of course, holding one would give a bonus to that damage type depending on the Lich, like Light Mender for Lightning, but something special for Runes like a unique passive to one of the combos. I can imagine Plague Doctor having a 20% Decay increase and changing the lightning orb from the light be a decay AoE for a few seconds, or Rust Lich giving Barrier to Runic Protection instead of Protection I love the new changed, they're great, but the Lexicons, or just Lexicon, are kinda... boring

The regular lexicon has an enchantment that gives it a decay bonus, but that's literally it. They did not do enough with them and light menders definitely is the best as it offers the most obvious benefits for a rune mage. I like the idea of each lich having one. Would have been a pretty cool idea as the rust lich doesn't really give you anything but armor anyway.

I agree that they definitely could add more and still do well. I think the main reason they aren't is that they are all interested in more games with other ideas. They are a relatively small group and it seems they have larger ambitions than just Outward, which is pretty cool too.

5:00 you can actually Still cheese it a bit, by Just drop every Iron scrap in Singles on the ground and now you can talk to her gettimg 2s for each scrap getting at least 20s a day before you habe to sleep.

I learnt about the Hobo camp change the worst way possible (I lost a backpack full of important loot, roughly worth arond 3k), but I still don't fully understand how it works. Your stuff gets deleted after 7 days of not being in the city, or after 7 days of placing it in the ground? If the later is the case, then equiping/unequiping the backpack wouldn't just reset the timer? Can someone please clear these doubts I have?? Thanks!!

The town will reset after 7 days. This occurs if you do not enter the town during that time. So when you drop your backpack should not matter I don't think.

I feel as if the Definitive edition of Outward made the 3 Brother's DLC more buggy than the ps4 version. I've had 4 instances of my town in New Sirocco vanishing completely making quest building progression impossible in the 150 day quest timer. Never had this issue with the ps4 version after the latest patch for that one of course. But the ps5 version needs patches.

@@SheenShots And it was EGREGIOUSLY FRUSTRATING doin a build, completing my faction quest, building New Sirocco, got up to the part where I had to bring back a lump of Chalcedony I had to heat up in a Volcano back to town while my ps5 had saves synced to the cloud so it SAVED this horrible instance so I was locked out of completing the quest AND getting that coveted Moment Of Truth greatsword skill. Almost gave up on the definitive edition.

It's just the way it is, PS4 and XBOX one are almost a decade old. They can't keep making updates and new games for them. Plus the PS4 and Xbox are pretty weak consoles.

I got the next gen Xbox because I was tired of waiting but a lot of people only want the ps5 and have no way to buy it. If you are looking to play this game you should 100% get it. DO NOT play it on console rn however as the bugs will ruin the experience for you. I would wait for the patch they are working on and then get into it. If you are on PC it is working really well and I have had a blast playing it.

Greetings! I recently became aware of Outward DE thanks to another creator (@Ratatoskr) but was quickly sad to learn that the DE isn't available on Xbox One. Would you still recommend the standard version despite the changes made in DE? (It will likely be awhile until I upgrade my console.)

Yes, while DE is better by far, the game is still amazing either way. Brings a lot to the table if you are into survival RPGS.

So staying past 7 days won't get rid of everything as long as you are in the area. This is because a region won't reset while you are in it. However, you must pack up everything before leaving to a sperate region because the 7 days will then kick in all all your stuff on the ground will be gone. (Simply disappears forever)

Yes all the player house chests are connected so you can access your stored items at any time. This change makes the game a lot more playable with much less walking.

This is a common issue. You are probably playing the game in the old version. The icon on desktop will take you to old Outward. You actually need to enter from steam or where you bought the game to choose it. When the title screen pops up you should see the title Definitive Edition. If not you are still in old Outward.

I have heard of people with an issue where they don't get the defeat scenario initially. Not sure why, but if you continue to die in the temple you should eventually get the correct death scenario. NOT a fix I know, but it does eventually work. Hopefully more on this eventually.

PS4 only has the regular Outward unfortunately. If you ever manage to get a PS5 you should get a free upgrade if you have the DLC's, but it wasn't implemented on the "Old gen" consoles sadly.

Honestly it really isn't that much harder than it was before. Some enemies such as rock mantises are harder to stagger but that's about it. If you gather a bunch of varnishes and use those before every fight the enemies die very quickly.

Can someone confirm to me that the cabal of the wind temple (horror shell farm) is still renewable after like 7-8 days?

It’s nice but honestly, not worth it. Sure you get some quests combat is a little more fluid, however the mini bosses are a nice touch if you want to die a lot more. The game already had mini bosses the groups of enemies you have to get through alone. Outward is hard because you have to juggle so much, now you have to juggle the idea of possibly running into a mini boss that can kill you easily, No thanks. Also the changes were say amazingly something that makes me jump to go get the definitive. The new graphics awesome and fluidity of combat great! But the rest ah, mini bosses would be better if it wasn’t in every dungeon. In some that made relative sense and in well a boss room.
