Open Honeycomb Stitch is a great beginner lace stitch. It creates an open lacy stitch that resembles a honeycomb pattern.
It’s a four-row repeat that lays flat and looks pretty on the reverse side.
The Open Honeycomb stitch tilts towards the left but it can be blocked out. However it will always have a left-leaning bias. This pattern would look lovely knit into wide scarf or a shopping tote bag.

This pattern looks very nice with knitting instead of purling. I hate purling so I decided to try a sample with knitting the purl only rows and I really like the way it looks 🤩👍

I’ve been trying the various beginner’s knitting techniques and this by far has been the trickiest for me. I’m not sure if it’s the quality of my yarn, the needles, or me, but that SSK is crazy tight and not doing what it’s supposed to. I think I’ll give it a rest today and then try again tomorrow 😊

You can consider switching to larger needles? If your tension is usually pretty even and not tight then it might be a needle size issue

Hi, If I already had the ribs can't I start with K instead of P. your fir row of P is it to prevent rolling or is it suppose to be part of the pattern design.I really enjoy your tutorial. I knit the pattern with a K2tog instead of an SSK and it ended up looking the same as hers, so I think they're the same thing. I know this comment is old, I'm just responding in case anyone else has the same question

You will still get the eyelets even if you’re using needles that the yarn calls for. But go ahead and experiment!

Row..cast on even number i.e. 12 Row 1 : purl 1 , *yo, purl 2 together * purl 1 Row 2: purl 1 *yo, purl 2 together* purl 1 😊

when they say cast on an odd amount, do they include the slip knot as #1 or 0?

was planning on making the mavis sweater from urban outfitters since they dont sell it in this off white color anymore. 🥲 and it has a cute almost undetectable lining on the ends of the sleeves and the front panel of the collar. so glad i found this, even if it doesnt match exactly i think itll give the look im going for 🥹

Thnx fr this. Im gonna make myself an open honeycomb and garter stitch scarf for summer with one half being light purple and the other being dark purple (cos my fav colour is purple 😆). Or I'll make a summer lace scarf using the scarf pattern tutorial by: ExpressionFiberArts. After I finish making an orange scarf for my friend (which I'm doing with your infinity scarf pattern tutorial), I'm gonna get started on it straight away! I'M SO EXCITED!
