Brilliant video, as usual, Glyn; it warms the heart to watch the father and yourself. An able, grounded man who's seen it and says it like it is; genuine and so likable. Your build is coming in a treat and looks fantastic. It'll be a great asset. We have the same weather here, but we get much more wind. The pups look beautiful and I had forgotten about the goats' milk. I used to get it off a lassie who came to live nearby when I had one litter; it's very good for skin conditions in people, too. @sheepshepherd Generally they won't be lambing until end March/into April Glyn, and all goin well if weather is kind grass is starting to regrow. We don't feed them as a rule, just try and keep a fresh pick of grass ahead of them all along, might put a bale of good quality silage to them if weather was harsh. Fed meal one year and had huge lambs coming, or not as the case was. Keep an eye on condition and give a little if required.

Glyn if you're concerned about Sally's weight because she's nursing pups. If you give her food that is for puppies that will give her more calories to help maintain her condition and get the extra nutrients that she's losing by producing milk for her babies. That's what rescues do for mother cats and I presume it's the same for dogs.

NO boy not weetbix for the puppies there is no nutritional in that it's like giving sheep straw instead of hay when they have just lambed - just buy puppy food from the supermarket/grocery store --- put 2 cups of puppy food in a bowl and add 3 cups of hot boiled water from the kettle - leave it over night so it is twice the size and soft - mix it with a hand stick mixer or use the potato masher until it's like a thick soup - as it is your first litter you could do all A names so Ace, Alfie, Ash, Able, Andy, Alex for boys and girls Ava, Alice, Anna, Abby, Ada, Amy - coming to you from Te Pari country NZ
